The original announcement confirms the 2024 rollout. However, it does not by itself prove that the title remains listed in every region in 2026, so players should check the live catalog before relying on the service.

What actually launched?
Tower of God: New World is Netmarble’s collectible animation RPG based on the Tower of God webtoon. The now.gg announcement concerned cloud distribution, not a sequel, expansion, separate edition, or new content release.
Instead of installing the native game client, supported players could stream the game from remote infrastructure through a browser or integrated service. That reduces the storage and download requirements, although it does not remove the need for a reliable internet connection.

Japan and the U.S. used different access routes

This distinction matters. The announcement did not describe nowCafe as a worldwide service, nor did it say that the LINE-based route was the standard U.S. experience.
How to try it
For U.S. players
- Open now.gg in a supported browser.
- Search for Tower of God: New World in the catalog.
- Select the browser-play option if the title is available for your region.
- Sign in or connect any account the game requires.
- Start the streamed session.
The announcement confirms U.S. availability at launch, but a currently verified dedicated game page was not established in the supplied evidence. Avoid assuming that an old search result or direct link proves that the listing is still live.
For Japanese players
- Open LINE Messenger.
- Locate or launch nowCafe.
- Select Tower of God: New World if it appears in the service’s catalog.
- Start the cloud session within LINE’s environment.
Japanese users should not assume that the U.S. now.gg route works interchangeably with nowCafe. Catalogs, account flows, and regional eligibility may differ.
What cloud play changes—and what it does not
Cloud play moves the game’s processing and rendering to remote servers and streams the result to your device. The main advantages are:
- No large native game download.
- Less storage consumed by the game and its updates.
- Potential access on older or lower-powered hardware.
- Browser-based play across supported device categories.
- In Japan, access through LINE Messenger.
The trade-off is that performance depends on the network connection and the distance to available servers. Cloud play can introduce latency, image compression, buffering, or disconnections even when the native app runs normally. A 5 Mbps connection is listed as a minimum platform requirement, not a guarantee of ideal performance.
Is it free?
now.gg generally describes its cloud device as ad-supported and says cloud play has no platform cost. That means the access model may be free to the player while still being supported by advertising.

This does not mean that every part of Tower of God: New World is free or that cloud play removes the game’s in-game economy. Netmarble’s optional purchases remain separate from the delivery platform. Players can consult the official Netmarble shop for the game’s own products.
now.gg also advertises nowPremium, with an official article citing a price of $0.99 per day where the service is available. The page describes features such as ad-free play and fullscreen access, but availability is regional; it should not be treated as a universally available subscription or as a solution to a game being absent from the catalog.

Supported devices and browser requirements
The 2024 announcement cited support across iOS, Android, PC, Mac, tablets, and TV in the United States. now.gg’s requirements document lists the following platform signals:
- Windows 7 or later
- macOS 10.11.6 or later
- ChromeOS 76 or later
- iPadOS 15 or later
- iOS 15 or later
- Android 7 or later
- A stable internet connection of at least 5 Mbps
Its browser guidance lists Chrome 102 or later, Edge 102 or later, Firefox 88 or later, Opera 89 or later, and Safari 11 or later, depending on the operating system. See the official now.gg requirements document for the platform details.
These are platform-level requirements, not a promise that Tower of God: New World will perform identically on every listed device. Wi-Fi quality, network congestion, latency, screen size, controls, and server location can all affect the experience.
Accounts, saves, and purchases
Cloud play should not be assumed to create a separate universal save or automatically synchronize every form of progress. The game’s own account and server systems determine how progress is stored.

Where applicable, use the same Netmarble or game account when moving between the native app and cloud access. Confirm that progress is visible before uninstalling the native version or switching devices. now.gg developer documentation discusses cloud storage for supported integrations, but that material does not prove the exact save behavior of this specific Netmarble title.
Payments are also separate from cloud access. now.gg provides the delivery environment; Netmarble controls the game’s products, offers, and account economy.

The game does not appear
The title may be unavailable in the user’s region, removed from the current catalog, restricted by account state, or listed under a changed entry. Check the live now.gg or nowCafe catalog rather than relying on an old article. Do not treat a VPN as an endorsed or guaranteed workaround.
The browser is incompatible
Update the browser and use one listed in now.gg’s requirements document. An unsupported browser may load the service inconsistently or fail when starting a session.

The picture is blurry or the controls feel delayed
Test a stable Wi-Fi connection, stop competing downloads or streams, and try a supported browser or device. The cited 5 Mbps figure is only a minimum signal; higher-quality streaming and lower latency may require better network conditions.
Progress is missing
Check that the same game account is being used. Do not assume that local state, cloud state, and native-app progress are automatically interchangeable.

Ads or fullscreen restrictions are a problem
now.gg’s free model is ad-supported. nowPremium may provide an ad-free or fullscreen experience in some regions, but its availability and terms vary.
Why the partnership mattered
For Netmarble, cloud distribution lowers the friction between discovering the game and starting it. Players with limited storage, older hardware, or little interest in waiting for a large download can try the title sooner.
The Japanese rollout was particularly notable because the access surface was LINE Messenger. That placed a major mobile RPG and its cloud delivery layer inside a widely used messaging environment rather than limiting discovery to conventional app stores.
For now.gg, the partnership demonstrated cloud gaming as a distribution and discovery channel for mobile games. The announcement attributed a figure of more than 100 million registered users to now.gg; that is the company’s own claim, not an independently audited audience measurement.
2024 launch, 2026 availability caveat
The precise date is important: the partnership was announced on August 5, 2024. Some later coverage can make the story appear to be a new 2026 launch, but the primary announcement is historical.
Netmarble’s official game site continues to show activity and updates in 2026, but that does not independently confirm that the now.gg listing remains active for every player. Catalogs, regional rights, supported devices, and access routes can change. Check Netmarble’s official game site and the relevant now.gg or nowCafe catalog before relying on cloud access.

Cloud access is most useful for players who want to try Tower of God: New World without a large download, have limited storage, or are using a device that may not handle the native client comfortably.
The native app may be preferable for players with unreliable or metered internet, strict data limits, low tolerance for advertising or streaming latency, or a need for the most predictable touch and controller behavior. Cloud play trades local installation requirements for network dependence.
