The 9S Pro was a performance-focused refresh of the REDMAGIC 9 Pro, built around an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant, while the Titan 16 Pro expanded REDMAGIC’s gaming hardware from phones into Windows PCs.
The Chinese launch included both the REDMAGIC 9S Pro and the higher-end 9S Pro+. REDMAGIC later brought the standard 9S Pro to international markets, with public sales scheduled for July 31, 2024. These were not a single worldwide launch, and the Chinese and global models did not necessarily share identical specifications, software, charging, or warranty terms.

Historical launch coverage reported the China introduction and the products’ initial positioning.
REDMAGIC 9S Pro: a faster 9 Pro refresh
The REDMAGIC 9S Pro used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version, with a CPU peak frequency of up to 3.4GHz. Launch reporting also listed a GPU frequency of up to 1GHz. That made the 9S Pro principally a performance refresh of the REDMAGIC 9 Pro generation, with higher clocks and software tuning—not a completely new phone platform.
REDMAGIC marketed the device as an AI gaming phone, but the most concrete hardware distinction was the higher-clocked chipset. Buyers should treat broader AI branding as product messaging unless a particular feature and its practical function are specified.

- Active internal cooling for sustained gaming workloads.
- Touch-sensitive shoulder triggers with 520Hz touch sampling.
- A dedicated Game Space switch.
- RGB lighting effects.
- A 3.5mm headphone jack and dual speakers.
- A 6.8-inch gaming-oriented AMOLED display with a high refresh rate.
- An under-display selfie camera, leaving the main screen largely unobstructed.
The global specification page lists a 6500mAh dual-cell battery and 80W wired charging. REDMAGIC’s advertised endurance figures should not be confused with independent battery testing: actual runtime varies substantially with game, brightness, network connection, frame rate, and cooling conditions.

REDMAGIC 9S Pro+ was a different configuration
The REDMAGIC 9S Pro+ launched alongside the standard 9S Pro in China, but it should not be treated as the same phone with a different name. Chinese-market reporting listed the Pro+ with a 5500mAh battery and much faster 165W charging.
That creates a meaningful distinction: the standard 9S Pro emphasizes greater battery capacity, while the Pro+ emphasizes charging speed. Advertised charging times depend on the supplied charger, temperature, battery condition, and charging settings.
Chinese launch coverage reported a series starting price of 4,799 yuan. That figure is a China-market launch price and should not be presented as a universal global MSRP or converted directly into a current US retail price. The exact model and configuration attached to a reported starting price also matter. Chinese specification and pricing coverage details the reported Pro and Pro+ differences.

Titan 16 Pro: REDMAGIC enters gaming laptops
The Titan 16 Pro was the genuinely new product category. It paired an Intel Core i9-14900HX with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, 8GB of GDDR6 graphics memory, and a 16-inch 2.5K display.
REDMAGIC’s product page lists the processor at 24 cores, 32 threads, and up to 5.8GHz turbo. The RTX 4060 is listed with a maximum power figure of 140W. That is a capable mainstream gaming GPU, but it places the Titan below laptops built around RTX 4070, RTX 4080, or RTX 4090 graphics.
Cooling, battery, and design
- Dual 4500RPM cooling fans.
- Four composite heat pipes.
- REDMAGIC-claimed 195W “performance release” capacity.
- 80Wh battery.
- 100W fast charging.
- Approximately 2.4kg and 23.9mm thick at its thickest point.
The 195W figure is a manufacturer claim about the cooling or platform design, not a guaranteed game frame rate, sustained power measurement, temperature, or noise level. Independent testing would be needed to establish those real-world results.
Ports and features
The Titan 16 Pro includes Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet, an SD UHS-II card reader, three USB 3.2 ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also has a full-size keyboard with a number pad and dedicated shortcuts, a 1080p webcam with Windows Hello support, and DTS:X Ultra-certified dual speakers.

- Compatibility: Protective Case compatible with Nubia Red Magic 11 Pro and Red Magic 11S Pro (6.85 inches)
- Premium Hybrid Case: Shock-absorbing TPU bumper + hard polycarbonate back keep your phone safe from bumps and scratches
- Crystal Clear: High clarity case allows you to show off the original design of the Red Magic 11 Pro/11S Pro
- Raised Edges: Protect the camera & screen against drops and scratches
- User Friendly: Slim case doesn’t add too much bulk to your phone. Wireless charging compatible. Easy access to the charging port, speaker and buttons etc
At its native 2.5K resolution, the RTX 4060 should be well suited to 1080p gaming and many moderate 1440p scenarios. More demanding games may require reduced settings or upscaling to maintain high frame rates. The Core i9 processor is powerful, but pairing it with an RTX 4060 can be unbalanced for buyers whose priority is maximum graphics performance.

- July 3, 2024: the REDMAGIC 9S Pro series was unveiled in China.
- July 2024: the Titan 16 Pro was introduced as REDMAGIC’s first gaming laptop.
- July 16, 2024: REDMAGIC announced a global launch event.
- July 31, 2024: public international sales of the REDMAGIC 9S Pro were scheduled to begin.
The international rollout selected products and regional configurations; it did not mean that every model was available everywhere. The global 9S Pro specification listed 6500mAh capacity and 80W charging, while Chinese reporting for the Pro+ listed 5500mAh and 165W. Buyers importing a phone or laptop should confirm the exact regional version.
Before buying an imported model, check cellular bands and carrier support, the Chinese or global ROM, Google Play and language support, charger plug and wattage, warranty region, return procedures, customs, sales tax, import fees, and seller authorization.

Price and current availability
The reported Chinese starting price for the 9S Pro series was 4,799 yuan in 2024. That is historical China pricing, not evidence of a current international price.
As of the current listing referenced in the dossier, the US REDMAGIC store lists the Titan 16 Pro at $1,699 but marks it out of stock. This is a current store-page status signal rather than proof of active purchasing availability in every region. The laptop also uses 14th-generation Intel and RTX 4060 hardware, so buyers comparing it with newer gaming laptops should consider whether newer GPU options offer better value at a similar price.
The official US store page should be checked for any change in price or stock before purchase.

The 9S Pro is a strong fit for
- Mobile gamers who value sustained performance and active cooling.
- Players who want shoulder triggers, a headphone jack, and a large battery.
- Buyers who prefer an uninterrupted display with an under-display camera.
- Users comfortable with gaming-focused software and a less camera-centric phone.
It is a weaker fit for buyers prioritizing camera quality, wireless charging, compact dimensions, long-term software-support certainty, or guaranteed carrier compatibility. It is also not a major generational redesign over the REDMAGIC 9 Pro.
The Titan 16 Pro is a strong fit for
- Buyers seeking high CPU performance in a gaming notebook.
- Users who value extensive ports, Ethernet, and a full-size keyboard.
- Players primarily targeting 1080p or moderate 1440p gaming.
- Fans of REDMAGIC’s styling and gaming ecosystem.
It is a weaker fit for travelers seeking a light, quiet laptop, buyers demanding the fastest available laptop graphics, or anyone who needs a currently in-stock US product. Battery life under gaming load, fan noise, temperatures, and sustained performance should be judged through independent testing rather than manufacturer claims.
What was actually new?
The launch combined an incremental phone upgrade with a strategic expansion into PCs. The REDMAGIC 9S Pro’s key change was the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version and associated tuning, while its broader design remained close to the 9 Pro generation.
The Titan 16 Pro was the more consequential announcement for REDMAGIC as a brand: it brought the company’s gaming-first approach—aggressive cooling, performance hardware, physical controls, and plentiful connectivity—into a laptop. Its i9 processor was impressive, but the RTX 4060 defined its graphics tier and kept it below uncompromising flagship gaming notebooks.
