The game update arrived on February 21 with DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation for RTX 50-series graphics cards.
That distinction matters: driver 572.47 supported the new GPU and provided Game Ready optimizations, but the Marvel Rivals patch—not the driver alone—enabled native Multi Frame Generation. As of August 2026, 572.47 is obsolete; current RTX 5070 Ti owners should install the latest compatible driver from the Nvidia driver page or the Nvidia App.

What driver 572.47 added
Driver 572.47 was a WHQL-certified GeForce Game Ready release for Windows. Its key additions were:

- Official support for the desktop GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.
- Game Ready support for the upcoming Marvel Rivals DLSS 4 update.
- Availability through the Nvidia App and GeForce.com.
WHQL means the driver passed Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Quality Labs certification process. It indicates that Nvidia’s release passed a defined validation process, but it does not guarantee that every game, Windows configuration, peripheral or overlay will work without problems.
#1 Best Overall
- Axial-Fan Tech Built to Endure - Triple 90mm axial fans feature refined blades for up to 15% more airflow, counter-rotation to cut turbulence, and durable dual-ball bearings. Stealth Mode stops fans at low temps for silent operation, boosting card longevity and performance.
- Masterfully Crafted Cooling - Advanced vapor chamber and ultra-dense heatsink rapidly pull heat from the GPU, while an open aluminum backplate boosts airflow and ventilation, resulting in lower temperatures for stronger performance and stability in demanding workloads.
- Epic-X ARGB Lighting 2.0 - Craft your command center with Epic-X ARGB lighting. Fully customizable LEDs illuminate your graphics card, turning your setup into a radiant centerpiece and making your gaming space a true reflection of your style.
- VelocityX Software - Gain full control over your PNY graphics card to maximize its performance and Epic-X ARGB lighting. Fine-tune core and memory clocks, dial in custom fan curves, and monitor real-time temperatures and speeds, all from one intuitive interface. Save up to five profiles for instant recall.
- NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture - The Ultimate Platform for Gamers and Creators. Do it all with 5th-Gen Tensor cores for Max AI performance, new streaming multiprocessors that are optimized for neural shaders, and 4th-Gen Ray Tracing cores built for Mega Geometry.
What changed in Marvel Rivals
Before the February 21 update, Marvel Rivals already supported DLSS Super Resolution, conventional DLSS Frame Generation and Nvidia Reflex. The update added DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation for RTX 50-series GPUs. Nvidia also said users could use the Nvidia App to upgrade the game’s DLSS Super Resolution model to its newer transformer-based model.
DLSS 4 is not a single feature with identical hardware requirements. Super Resolution reconstructs a higher-resolution image from a lower-resolution render. Frame Generation inserts AI-generated frames between traditionally rendered frames. Multi Frame Generation can create multiple AI-generated frames for each traditionally rendered frame, but that feature is available to supported RTX 50-series hardware—not RTX 40-series cards.
Which GPUs support the features?
| Feature | RTX 50 series | RTX 40 series | Older RTX cards |
|---|---|---|---|
| DLSS Super Resolution | Yes, where supported by the game | Yes, where supported | Often, depending on the game |
| Standard DLSS Frame Generation | Yes, where supported | Yes, where supported | Generally no |
| DLSS Multi Frame Generation | Yes, in supported games | No | No |
| Nvidia Reflex | Game-dependent | Game-dependent | Game-dependent |
Therefore, an RTX 5070 Ti is not required to play Marvel Rivals with DLSS. RTX 40-series owners can use supported Super Resolution, standard Frame Generation and Reflex options, but they should not expect the RTX 50-series Multi Frame Generation setting.

Nvidia said its complete DLSS configuration produced an average 4.4× frame-rate multiplier on RTX 50-series GPUs. Under Nvidia’s stated test conditions, the company reported more than 440 frames per second at 4K and maximum settings on an RTX 5090, approximately 330 FPS on an RTX 5080 and more than 290 FPS on an RTX 5070 Ti.
Those are Nvidia’s figures, not independent test results. The outcome depends on the game build, CPU, memory, graphics settings, ray-tracing settings, DLSS modes and test system. Generated frames also should not be treated as equivalent to traditionally rendered frames: a higher FPS counter does not automatically mean proportionally lower input latency.
Nvidia Reflex remains important when using frame generation because it is designed to reduce system latency. Competitive players should also consider rendered-frame rate, frame pacing and consistency, not only the displayed average FPS.
How to install the driver in the original launch context
- Open the Nvidia App.
- Select the Drivers tab.
- Check for the Game Ready Driver and select Download.
- Choose the installation option offered by the app and restart Windows if prompted.
- Update Marvel Rivals through its game launcher.
- Open the game’s graphics settings and enable the available DLSS options.
- Enable Nvidia Reflex if it is available.
- On an RTX 50-series GPU, confirm that Multi Frame Generation appears after the game update.
For a new RTX 5070 Ti setup today, do not deliberately install 572.47 simply because it was the launch driver. Use the latest compatible WHQL release instead. Later drivers superseded the 572 branch and may include fixes for newer Windows builds and game versions.

Troubleshooting missing options
The RTX 5070 Ti is not detected
- Restart Windows after installing the driver.
- Check that the card is seated correctly and its power connectors are attached.
- Look for a display-driver error in Device Manager.
- Use Nvidia’s clean-install option or perform a clean driver reinstall.
- Make sure you downloaded the desktop GPU package rather than a notebook package.
Multi Frame Generation does not appear
Confirm that the Marvel Rivals update has installed and that the GPU is an RTX 50-series model. The option may also be unavailable if the game mode disables Frame Generation or if the driver installation did not complete correctly. Nvidia App DLSS model overrides may be unavailable or labelled differently between game versions.
RTX 40-series users should expect supported Super Resolution or standard Frame Generation, not Multi Frame Generation.
The FPS counter rises but the game does not feel more responsive
AI-generated frames can improve visible smoothness while input responsiveness remains tied substantially to the traditionally rendered frame rate and overall system latency. Enable Reflex where available, configure the monitor’s refresh rate in Windows and in-game, and judge performance using latency and frame pacing as well as FPS.
The driver causes instability
Record the installed driver version, disable overlays, temporarily turn off Frame Generation and test again. If necessary, reinstall the previous stable driver and check Nvidia’s later releases for fixes. Do not assume that every newer branch will be faster in every game; Nvidia’s archive records later Marvel Rivals-related issues and fixes.

Should you install 572.47 now?
In February 2025, 572.47 was the appropriate launch-era driver for a new RTX 5070 Ti and for players preparing for the Marvel Rivals DLSS 4 update. In August 2026, it is historical context rather than a current recommendation. Install the latest compatible driver unless you are investigating a specific regression that requires testing an older version.
The RTX 5070 Ti’s original announced starting price was $749, but that was a launch MSRP, not a current price. Anyone considering the card should compare native rendering performance, 16GB of VRAM, power and case requirements, monitor resolution and refresh rate, and the value they place on Multi Frame Generation. A fast existing RTX 30- or RTX 40-series card may not justify an upgrade solely for a higher generated-FPS counter in Marvel Rivals.
For the original announcements, see Nvidia’s 572.47 release article and its DLSS 4 and Marvel Rivals announcement.
