Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 Ti launched on February 20, 2025, with an announced U.S. starting price of $749. The launch date and price are historical facts—not confirmation of current availability or what the card costs today.
When did the RTX 5070 Ti launch?
Nvidia announced the RTX 5070 Ti in January 2025 and initially said it would arrive in February. On February 13, Tom’s Hardware reported that availability would begin on February 20, 2025, at 6 a.m. Pacific, through add-in-card partners and system integrators. Nvidia’s launch-day article on February 20 confirmed the card was out and directed buyers to its product finder for partner cards and systems.
The 5070 Ti did not have a Founders Edition model, according to Tom’s Hardware’s launch-period report. Buyers were directed to partner-made graphics cards or complete systems from PC builders.
What was the announced starting price?
Nvidia announced a U.S. starting price of $749 in January 2025. That is the launch starting price, not a verified current retail price. The launch-era information here does not establish today’s stock, retailer listings, or street prices.

- Axial-Fan Tech Built to Endure - Triple 90mm axial fans feature refined blades for up to 15% more airflow, counter-rotation to cut turbulence, and durable dual-ball bearings. Stealth Mode stops fans at low temps for silent operation, boosting card longevity and performance.
- Masterfully Crafted Cooling - Advanced vapor chamber and ultra-dense heatsink rapidly pull heat from the GPU, while an open aluminum backplate boosts airflow and ventilation, resulting in lower temperatures for stronger performance and stability in demanding workloads.
- Epic-X ARGB Lighting 2.0 - Craft your command center with Epic-X ARGB lighting. Fully customizable LEDs illuminate your graphics card, turning your setup into a radiant centerpiece and making your gaming space a true reflection of your style.
- VelocityX Software - Gain full control over your PNY graphics card to maximize its performance and Epic-X ARGB lighting. Fine-tune core and memory clocks, dial in custom fan curves, and monitor real-time temperatures and speeds, all from one intuitive interface. Save up to five profiles for instant recall.
- NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture - The Ultimate Platform for Gamers and Creators. Do it all with 5th-Gen Tensor cores for Max AI performance, new streaming multiprocessors that are optimized for neural shaders, and 4th-Gen Ray Tracing cores built for Mega Geometry.
What did Nvidia announce about the card?
Nvidia listed 16GB of GDDR7 memory and 896 GB/sec of memory bandwidth. Its January 2025 announcement also listed 1,406 AI TOPS and described Blackwell-generation RT Cores as having twice the ray-triangle intersection rate of the previous generation. That RT Core figure is a generational feature claim, not a standalone RTX 5070 Ti game benchmark.
How to interpret Nvidia’s “2X faster” claim
Nvidia said the RTX 5070 Ti delivered frame rates twice as fast as the RTX 4070 Ti in certain games using Blackwell and DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation. The named games were Alan Wake 2, Black Myth: Wukong, and Cyberpunk 2077, tested at 2560×1440 with full ray tracing and other settings maxed. This is Nvidia’s vendor claim under those stated conditions, not a universal performance result or an independently verified benchmark.
