What NVIDIA’s promotion included
The partnership between NVIDIA and Xbox/Microsoft offered eligible users three months of PC Game Pass through NVIDIA’s GeForce Rewards program. PC Game Pass provided access to Microsoft’s PC game catalog; it was not a free subscription to NVIDIA’s separate GeForce NOW cloud-gaming service.
Recommended Free Tools
NVIDIA promoted the offer alongside games such as Forza Horizon 5, Forza Motorsport, and Minecraft with RTX, which showcase technologies including DLSS, Reflex, and ray tracing. NVIDIA also said that more than 130 PC Game Pass titles were playable through GeForce NOW at the time, although that was a 2024 catalog figure and did not mean every PC Game Pass game was supported for cloud streaming.

- An NVIDIA Account enrolled in GeForce Rewards.
- Access to GeForce Experience or the NVIDIA app beta used during the 2024 launch period.
- Status as a new Xbox Game Pass member.

How redemption worked in 2024
The historical redemption process was:
- Create or sign in to an NVIDIA Account and enroll in GeForce Rewards.
- Use a Windows desktop or laptop with a GTX 10 Series or newer GeForce GPU.
- Install and open GeForce Experience or the NVIDIA app beta.
- Sign in inside the NVIDIA application.
- Open Redeem and select the PC Game Pass GeForce Reward.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and complete Microsoft’s redemption process.
- Redeem the resulting code with Microsoft by August 30, 2024.
Those instructions describe the expired promotion, not a current claim process. NVIDIA now emphasizes the NVIDIA app for its rewards system, and its current interface may not match the 2024 beta or GeForce Experience menus. The current GeForce Rewards page lists the PC Game Pass reward among past rewards.

PC Game Pass and GeForce NOW are different services
- PC Game Pass is a subscription that provides a rotating catalog of PC games, generally for local download and play.
- GeForce NOW streams supported games from NVIDIA’s remote hardware.
- A PC Game Pass subscription does not include a paid GeForce NOW tier.
- You do not need GeForce NOW to install and play PC Game Pass games locally.
- Only selected Game Pass titles can be streamed through GeForce NOW, depending on NVIDIA’s supported-game catalog and regional availability.
Readers interested in the current subscription should use the official Xbox PC Game Pass page. Those seeking cloud gaming should check GeForce NOW’s current plans separately.
Can you still claim the NVIDIA offer?
No. The original GeForce Rewards promotion ended in July 2024, and its final Microsoft redemption date passed in August 2024. Do not pay a third-party seller for an advertised NVIDIA reward code, and be cautious of pages that present the old promotion as a current free trial.
You can still check NVIDIA’s current GeForce Rewards page for future offers, or visit Microsoft directly for the currently available PC Game Pass options. The NVIDIA app itself is a companion application for supported NVIDIA features and rewards; it does not provide PC Game Pass at no charge.
