Why the Valentine’s Day words mislead
The date and words such as KISS, HUG, and XO can suggest a romantic grouping, but they belong to three different categories. KISS goes with BRUSH, GRAZE, and SKIM; HUG completes “bear hug”; and XO is grouped with the sauces. Forbes contributor Kris Holt described the apparent decoy: “Despite the date and the grid featuring KISS, HUG and XO, that wasn’t a trap I was going to fall into.” (Forbes, February 13, 2024)
