How Connections works
Connections gives players 16 words to sort into four groups of four based on a shared link. The New York Times describes the groups as color-coded by difficulty: yellow is the easiest and purple the trickiest. You can play through the NYT Games app or website; the NYT Help Center says the puzzle archive is available to All Access and Games subscribers. NYT Help Center: Connections.

- Green: These are things you might tell a dog to do.
- Blue: Look for four labels used to describe musical notes.
