Progressive hints for Connections: Sports Edition #80
The hints move from the reported easiest group to the hardest. Each one points to a shared theme without listing the four words.
- Yellow: NFL teams
- Green: College football conferences
- Blue: Famous people with the surname Jones
- Purple: Trophies whose names end in “Cup”
How to approach the puzzle
Connections asks you to sort 16 words into four groups of four. A solved group disappears from the board, and you can make up to four mistakes before the game ends. You can also shuffle or rearrange the board. Because the groups grow more difficult by color, consider securing the clearest sports-related set before chasing the less obvious wordplay.
