How the answers fit the theme
The words point to interests and items associated with hobby shops, from collectibles and models to games, dice, miniatures, and puzzles. How Strands hints work
Strands uses a six-by-eight letter grid. Theme words connect letters vertically, horizontally, and diagonally; the spangram describes the connection and reaches at least two sides of the board. Finding three valid non-theme words of at least four letters unlocks an in-game hint. The puzzle is available on the NYT website and in the NYT Games app.
