Players report being able to intervene and trade with him—or finding him dead and looting his body. His exact spawn conditions, inventory, and the items’ quest significance are not established.
Who is the Odd Trader?
Players use “Odd Trader” to describe a trader encountered during a reported random roadside event. Community accounts associate the scene with two bandits attacking him, but they do not establish a fixed location, spawn trigger, or guaranteed sequence. Player discussion about the trader and his items and a separate discussion about the broken Roman spear are the available accounts; neither is official confirmation of the encounter’s mechanics.

What can happen during the encounter?
If you intervene
Some players report rescuing the trader and then being offered a deal. This is an anecdotal outcome, not a validated walkthrough: the reports do not confirm that every encounter can be resolved the same way or that the trader will always survive.
If the trader dies
One player describes arriving too late to save him and finding unusual objects on his body. That account supports looting as a reported outcome, but it does not prove the same items will appear in every instance.

What items are associated with the Odd Trader?
One player-reported loot list includes Saint Ludmila’s veil, alum, a bag of holy nails, an empty vial, a hair strand relic, a nail fragment relic, the Pomuk vicar’s needle, cloth-scrap relics, Saint Veronica’s veil, and a statue of Saint Barbara. A follow-up comment mentions a broken Roman soldier’s spear. Treat these as reported observations, not a complete or guaranteed inventory.
Commenters describe the stock as expensive or of limited practical value, but the discussions do not establish dependable prices or whether stock varies. They also do not confirm that the relic-like items are quest items; player speculation about possible quest use is not evidence of a quest connection.

Neither point is confirmed by the available player accounts. Exact spawn conditions and any quest role remain unresolved, so there is no reliable basis here for directing players to a particular map location or claiming that the encounter is required for a quest.
