This OFF Zone 1 guide follows the route from Damien through Pentel and Shachihata to Alma, covering the main puzzles, progression points, and Dedan encounter. It is based on a walkthrough published August 23, 2025; check puzzle inputs against the version you are playing if a detail does not match.
Damien: reach the Barns
Begin with the opening train and mine sequence in Damien, then continue into the Barns. The route’s main objective is to purify five Spectres. Progress also requires a slide puzzle in which you move a rock into position.
Opening route and slide puzzle
- Follow the train and mine sequence until the path leads into the Barns.
- Purify the five Spectres encountered along the way.
- At the rock slide puzzle, maneuver the rock to clear the route forward.
Pentel: navigate the darker mines
In the darker mine area, look for and activate the switch to continue. Zacharie appears here as a merchant. The walkthrough author recommends prioritizing equipment and healing items; this is shopping advice, not a tested requirement for progression.
Shachihata: solve the floor and postal puzzles
Shachihata’s progression combines a floor-number puzzle with a postal-service sequence. Notes found in the area provide a code; assemble the digits in the order given by the walkthrough.

Code and sequence
The code is 681452. Use it in the relevant keypad or code-entry step, then complete the postal-service sequence to advance. If the input is rejected, recheck the notes and their intended order in your game version.
Alma: answer the quiz and cross the maze
Alma’s route includes a poster quiz, a pedalo section, a keypad sequence, and a maze whose paths are guided by music volume. Use the quiz answers and sequence clues provided in the game; the walkthrough reports that these puzzle inputs may need checking against the version being played.

Music-volume maze
Pay attention to changes in the music volume as you move through the maze. Treat the sound as the navigation clue rather than relying only on visual landmarks.
Defeat Dedan to purify the zone
The Dedan fight is the zone’s culminating encounter. Winning it purifies the zone and completes the main progression described in this walkthrough.

Which OFF release does this guide cover?
OFF has digital releases on Steam and Nintendo Switch, and the official game site also identifies a physical Nintendo Switch release. Fangamer’s standard physical Switch edition includes the game and case, instruction manual, reversible cover art, and a “Memories of the Park” art card. Fangamer also lists a collector’s edition with a bobblehead, Zodiac cards, and a prequel comic. The August 2025 guide author says the remaster retains the dialogue, puzzles, and world design while updating presentation and changing the soundtrack; an official change log confirming each comparison was not located. Physical-edition contents and retailer availability can vary by region and over time.
