Gale pulling a Glock and Karlach wearing the pot-helmet look of Elden Ring player Let Me Solo Her are jokes in an official Baldur’s Gate 3 animated short—not standard equipment or newly announced game features. Larian made the short with Spud Gun Studios to celebrate the rollout of official modding support.
Why Gale has a Glock and Karlach looks like Let Me Solo Her
The transformations are part of a comedic short built around the unruly possibilities of mod culture. PC Gamer’s February 1, 2026 description reports that the Wizard of Mod transforms Shadowheart, gives Karlach the Let Me Solo Her look, and has Gale pull a Glock. The Elden Ring reference is to the player known for taking on difficult bosses wearing little more than a pot on their head.
Those moments are animation gags, not confirmation that a Glock or the Let Me Solo Her outfit is ordinary Baldur’s Gate 3 gear. Nor does the short establish that those exact jokes correspond to downloadable mods.
What the official short was made to celebrate
Larian’s Community Update #29: Playing With Mods identifies the animation as a collaboration with Spud Gun Studios, made to celebrate the release of Baldur’s Gate 3’s modding tools. The official context matters: the short uses exaggerated character transformations to promote player creativity, rather than announcing new story content or a change to the game’s standard equipment.

What official mod support means in Baldur’s Gate 3
Larian’s Official Mod Support page explains the distinction between the in-game Mod Manager and the Toolkit. Patch 7 introduced the Mod Manager and Toolkit; the Toolkit is downloadable through Steam for PC. Supported mods are also available on console through a curated route, but that does not mean the PC Toolkit itself is available on consoles or that every visual gag in the animation can be installed.
So the short’s premise reflects the broad comic appeal of modding, while actual access depends on the platform and the mods supported there. Treat its Glock and pot-helmet images as references in the animation unless a specific mod is separately identified and confirmed.
