ofxbridgeb64.dll is missing, was not found, or could not be loaded. If Windows shows that exact error, identify the NewBlue video application that installed ofxbridgeb64.dll before attempting any system-wide repair.
Which fix applies to you

- Titler Pro, TotalFX, or a NewBlue plug-in stopped starting after an update: repair or reinstall that exact NewBlue product.
- EDIUS no longer recognizes a NewBlue effect: repair the EDIUS OFX Bridge or its NewBlue bundle.

What ofxbridgeb64.dll is
ofxbridgeb64.dll is the case-insensitive filename for OFXBridgeB64.dll, a NewBlue OFX Bridge component. OFX, or OpenFX, is a plug-in standard used by video-editing software. The bridge allows NewBlue effects and titling components to work with supported hosts.
The B64 name strongly suggests a 64-bit bridge build. NewBlue documents the file in:
C:Program FilesNewBlueFXCommonOFXBridgeB64.dll
It is not a Windows system component, and there is no reason to expect Windows itself to restore it through Windows Update, SFC, or DISM.

The host application may be NewBlue Titler Pro or TotalFX, EDIUS, VEGAS, Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, or DaVinci Resolve. The error may be generated by the host rather than by the DLL itself, so the most important first step is finding which program was launching when the message appeared.
1. Identify the parent application
Read the complete error dialog and note the application name, shortcut, or full path. Also consider what changed immediately before the failure:
- A NewBlue product update or repair
- An EDIUS upgrade
- Removal of an older Titler Pro or OFX Bridge
- Antivirus quarantine
- An interrupted installation
- A host application update
- Migration from an older 32-bit workflow to a 64-bit editor
Next, check the documented vendor directory:
- Press Windows + E.
- Paste this path into the address bar:

C:Program FilesNewBlueFXCommon
- Look for
OFXBridgeB64.dll. - Right-click it, select Properties, and review the General, Details, and Digital Signatures tabs if available.
Use the result to classify the failure:
- The file is absent: the installation is incomplete, damaged, or the file was quarantined.
- The file is present but the error says “specified module could not be found”: a dependency may be missing. That message does not always mean the named DLL itself is absent.
- The file is present but Windows says it is invalid or not designed to run on Windows: the file may be corrupt, blocked, or the wrong architecture.
- The file is present and the host fails only after an update: an old bridge conflict or incompatible product combination is possible.
Do not rely on a version number, file size, or hash from a public DLL catalogue as proof of authenticity. Those values are not confirmed by NewBlue.
2. Restart, then repair the exact NewBlue product
Close the video editor, EDIUS, Titler Pro, TotalFX, and related background processes. Restart Windows once, then try the application again. If the error remains, repair or reinstall the product that owns the bridge.

For a NewBlue product:
- Open Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps.
- Search for Titler Pro, TotalFX, or another NewBlue entry.
- Select the three-dot menu beside the product.
- Choose Modify, Repair, or Uninstall, depending on what the installer provides.
- If repair is unavailable, uninstall the affected product.
- Restart Windows.
- Download the current installer from NewBlue’s official product or download page.
- Right-click the installer and choose Run as administrator.
- Complete the installation, then restart Windows again.
The current Titler Pro installer includes the OFX Bridge. Do not install a random bridge package beside a newer NewBlue product, and do not mix old Titler Pro, TotalFX, and EDIUS bridge builds unless the vendor’s instructions require it.
Test the original host application after installation. If it opens and the NewBlue plug-in appears in its effects or titling list, the repair worked.
3. Repair an EDIUS installation
Grass Valley uses the OFX Bridge to make OpenFX plug-ins work inside EDIUS. Older EDIUS bundles may use a separate installer with a name similar to NewBlueOFXBridgeForEdius.exe; newer procedures may use a filename such as NewBlueOFXBridgeAndTitlerProForEdius-xxxxxx.exe.

For an EDIUS-specific failure:
- Close EDIUS and all NewBlue applications.
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Search for Titler Pro, OFX Bridge, and NewBlue entries.
- Remove the older Titler Pro or OFX Bridge package when the EDIUS installer procedure calls for it.
- Restart Windows.
- Run the downloaded EDIUS/NewBlue installer as administrator.
- Allow it to finish without launching EDIUS during setup.
- Restart Windows.
- Open EDIUS and check whether the NewBlue plug-in is recognized.
If EDIUS still reports a missing bridge, repeat the check in C:Program FilesNewBlueFXCommon and confirm that you installed the bridge package intended for your EDIUS version and host architecture.

The filename indicates a 64-bit bridge, and current Titler Pro compatibility information targets 64-bit video-editing applications. A 32-bit host cannot generally load a 64-bit plug-in DLL, and a 64-bit host cannot use a 32-bit replacement as a substitute.
Check the host architecture in its documentation or Help > About page. Do not assume that installing both architectures will solve the problem.
If the installer or Windows reports a missing C/C++ runtime:
- Use Microsoft’s official Visual C++ Redistributable downloads page.
- Install
vc_redist.x64.exefor a 64-bit host. - Install
vc_redist.x86.exeonly when a 32-bit host or component requires it. - Restart Windows.
- Launch the NewBlue host again.
Visual C++ is a dependency possibility, not proof that this particular DLL requires a specific runtime. Do not download individual runtime DLLs from an unofficial source.
5. Check Windows Security quarantine
Antivirus software can remove or quarantine a bridge after an update or repair.
- Open Windows Security from the Start menu.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Look for an event involving
OFXBridgeB64.dll, the NewBlue installation directory, or the parent installer. - Expand the event and record the detection name and affected path.
Restore or allow the file only if you have confirmed that it is the genuine file installed by a trusted NewBlue installer. If the event is unclear, leave the file quarantined and reinstall the parent product from NewBlue instead. If the file is repeatedly quarantined after a clean official installation, contact NewBlue support with the detection name rather than repeatedly disabling protection.

6. Handle the Titler Pro 4/5 bridge conflict
A missing DLL and a conflicting DLL are different problems. NewBlue documents a Titler Pro 4/5 startup conflict in which removing the bridge can allow the older product to start.
Use this procedure only when Titler Pro 4 or 5 is failing during startup and the bridge conflict matches your situation:

- Close Titler Pro and all video editors.
- Open:

C:Program FilesNewBlueFXCommon
- Find
OFXBridgeB64.dll. - Right-click it and choose Rename.
- Rename it to something such as:

OFXBridgeB64.dll.old
- Start Titler Pro again.
If the application opens, the bridge was likely involved in the startup conflict. Keep the renamed file until you confirm which plug-ins still work, then follow NewBlue’s current compatibility or update instructions.
Do not use this procedure as the normal response to a “DLL missing” error. Removing the bridge can make EDIUS or other OpenFX hosts lose access to NewBlue effects.
7. Run DISM and SFC only for wider Windows corruption
SFC repairs protected Windows files. DISM repairs the Windows component store used by those repairs. Neither command is a NewBlue installer, so they are not the primary fix for ofxbridgeb64.dll.
Use them when other Windows components, built-in utilities, or unrelated system files are also failing:

- Restart Windows and test the application.
Microsoft recommends running DISM before SFC. If both commands complete successfully but the NewBlue error remains, return to the official product reinstall path.

A video host update, graphics driver change, or EDIUS upgrade can expose compatibility problems, but a graphics driver does not normally replace OFXBridgeB64.dll.
For Windows-managed driver updates:
- Right-click Start.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click the graphics device.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart Windows if a driver is installed.
Also check the video editor’s official update channel and the NewBlue installer for compatibility with your host. Do not remove a working driver merely because this DLL is missing.
Manually hunting through Device Manager and matching hardware packages can leave other drivers stale, while Outbyte Driver Updater can scan for driver problems; its free scan identifies what it finds and the full version installs updates, but it is not a substitute for reinstalling the NewBlue bridge.
9. Use System Restore only as a fallback
System Restore is appropriate when the failure clearly began after a recent update or installation and you have no working installer.
- Press Windows + R.
- Type:

rstrui.exe
- Press Enter.
- Choose a restore point from before the failure.
- Select Scan for affected programs.
- Review the result.
- Select Next, then Finish.
System Restore may remove a recent application or driver change. It does not replace a clean, compatible NewBlue installation, so reinstall the affected product afterward if necessary.
Do not copy the DLL into System32
Do not download ofxbridgeb64.dll from a random DLL site, copy it into C:WindowsSystem32, or replace it with a file from another computer. The copy may contain malware, target the wrong architecture, or belong to a different NewBlue build.
Windows normally searches application locations according to its DLL search order. Putting an unrelated copy in a system directory can cause the wrong file to load and obscure the real installation problem. Restore the vendor-supplied file through the NewBlue or EDIUS installer instead.

regsvr32 is also normally irrelevant. It registers DLLs that expose a registration entry point such as DllRegisterServer; it is not a general-purpose repair command for runtime or plug-in DLLs. If you run it against this bridge and receive an entry-point error, that does not prove the file is missing.
