When did Once Human launch on consoles?
The PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S versions launched August 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. PT. The official FAQ says that time applied across the regions it lists: North America, South America, Europe, Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The console launch followed the PC and mobile releases; the Xbox open beta had a separate schedule and beta-specific cross-play limits, so those should not be mistaken for the full-release terms.

Could you preload Once Human?
PC and mobile
For the April 2025 mobile launch, pre-download began April 22 in the Americas and April 23 in Europe and Asia. The official download guide directed Android players to Google Play, iOS players to the App Store, and PC players to the official Once Human website. These were launch-period instructions, not an active preload window today. The guide described that version as a “full-platform non-wipe Official Release.”

Consoles
Console pre-download opened 48 hours before the August 25, 2026 launch. On PlayStation, pre-download was limited to players who purchased the preorder bundle; the FAQ does not state that same restriction for Xbox. The window has passed.

Yes. The official console FAQ says console supports full cross-platform play with the released PC and mobile versions. The PC/mobile guide says one NetEase account corresponds to one character and that players can switch devices. The account and character detail is stated for PC/mobile; consult the console FAQ for console-specific account handling.

What launch figures did the publisher report?
NetEase Games said on April 23, 2025, that Once Human had reached 30 million mobile pre-registrations and reported a 230,000 peak concurrent players on Steam in connection with the PC launch. These are publisher-attributed launch figures, not a current player count or an independently audited statistic. The announcement is available at NetEase Games.
