The headline HX 370 version pairs AMD’s 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with Radeon 890M integrated graphics, up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 4TB of SSD storage.
It is a powerful and unusually well-equipped handheld, but not a guaranteed 144fps machine. Its high-refresh display, premium pricing, Windows software experience and modest 48.5Wh battery make it a better fit for enthusiasts than for buyers seeking the simplest or longest-lasting portable console. The F1 Pro launched in late 2024 and should be evaluated as an established product, not a new 2026 announcement.

The F1 Pro is a Windows 11 handheld computer rather than a conventional closed-platform console. It can run PC games locally through Steam, the Epic Games Store, Xbox PC Game Pass and other Windows software. That also makes it useful for mods, emulation, productivity applications and Windows-only games, although Windows can require more launcher, driver and controller-management work than SteamOS.

OneXPlayer and launch coverage described it as the first handheld using AMD’s Ryzen AI 300-series hardware. That is a manufacturer or launch-era positioning claim, not a universal definition of “world’s first,” so it is safer to describe the F1 Pro by its verified hardware rather than repeat the superlative as an absolute fact.
Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and Radeon 890M
The HX 370 is the flagship processor offered in the F1 Pro lineup. It has 12 CPU cores and 24 threads, boosts to 5.1GHz and is built on a 4nm process. OneXPlayer lists 36MB of total cache. Its integrated Radeon 890M uses the RDNA 3.5 architecture and 16 graphics compute units.
This is a meaningful step above older handheld designs based on Radeon 780M-class integrated graphics, particularly when the device is allowed to operate at a higher power limit. It remains an integrated GPU, however. The Radeon 890M shares system memory with the CPU and is constrained by the handheld’s thermal design, power mode, cooling and memory configuration. The HX 370’s AI features and NPU should not be treated as a direct measure of gaming frame rates.
Be careful when selecting a listing. The F1 Pro is a product family rather than one fixed specification. Launch models included the Ryzen AI 9 365 with Radeon 880M and the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with Radeon 890M. The current official store page also displays an 8840U option. A separate OneXPlayer promotional article incorrectly describes the HX 370 as a 10-core/20-thread, 5GHz chip; those figures should not be used for the HX 370 configuration.
The 7-inch 144Hz OLED screen
The display is the F1 Pro’s clearest visual differentiator: a 7-inch, 1920×1080 OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and approximately 315 pixels per inch. OneXPlayer lists ten-point touch support and 800 nits of peak brightness. Launch coverage lists 112% DCI-P3 coverage, while the manufacturer lists 152% sRGB coverage.

OLED pixels emit their own light, allowing very deep blacks and strong contrast. A 144Hz refresh rate can make supported games, desktop navigation and older or less demanding titles feel noticeably smoother than a 60Hz or 90Hz display. The color-gamut figures describe coverage relative to color-space targets; they are not percentages of color accuracy, and they should not be read as an independently measured calibration result.
The important limitation is resolution. Rendering a modern game at a true 1920×1080 output places a substantial load on integrated graphics. In demanding games, owners may need to use AMD FSR or another upscaler, reduce settings, lower the internal render resolution or target 60–90fps. The 144Hz panel is most useful for esports games, older PC titles, indie games, emulation and desktop use—not as a promise that current AAA releases will run at 144fps.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesOneXPlayer’s materials are not fully consistent on brightness: the product page and launch reports cite 800 nits, while a promotional blog cites 760 nits. The official page also includes a “0.6s” response-time figure that appears to contain a unit or transcription problem, so it should not be presented as an independently verified response-time result.
How fast is it for games?
The answer depends on the power profile and the game. Handhelds can trade battery life, fan noise and surface temperature for performance, so the same F1 Pro may behave differently at 15W, 25W and 30W—or under a user-defined profile.
Tom’s Hardware reported 72fps in Black Myth: Wukong at 25W and 64fps in Cyberpunk 2077 plus 72fps in Black Myth: Wukong at 30W, under the cited test conditions. These figures should be treated as attributed launch-test results rather than universal benchmarks. The same report noted that the most extensive launch benchmarking came from OneXPlayer itself.

In practical use, the HX 370/Radeon 890M combination is capable of serious PC gaming in a compact body, but it is not equivalent to a gaming laptop with a discrete GPU. Expect to adjust settings on newer AAA games. If the goal is a stable high-refresh experience, less demanding games are a better match for the panel than the latest visually intensive releases.
Battery, cooling and connectivity
The 48.5Wh battery is reasonable for a compact handheld but modest for a high-power HX 370 system. Capacity alone cannot establish gaming runtime: brightness, frame rate, game engine, power limit, fan profile and upscaling all matter. High-wattage gaming will drain it faster than light desktop work or older games, so buyers should not assume a fixed number of hours.
The included 65W GaN charger is suited to the device’s performance class. A replacement or travel charger should support the required USB-C Power Delivery profile. A compatible power bank can extend play time, but its output capability matters; a low-output USB-C battery may charge slowly or fail to keep up while gaming.
The F1 Pro weighs about 599g and includes two USB4 Type-C ports, USB-A 3.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a MicroSD slot. USB4 makes docking, display output and fast peripherals practical, but it is not the same as OCuLink. Buyers specifically planning a high-performance external GPU should not assume USB4 offers OCuLink-equivalent bandwidth. Tom’s Hardware noted that the F1 Pro lacks OCuLink.
Storage uses a replaceable or upgradeable M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, which is more flexible than soldered storage. MicroSD is useful for older games, ROMs and secondary files, but it is slower than the internal SSD and should not be considered an equivalent replacement for fast game storage.

Configurations and current pricing
At launch, the HX 370 model was offered with 32GB or 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1TB, 2TB or 4TB of storage. The Ryzen AI 9 365 version used 32GB and 1TB or 2TB options. The exact processor matters more than the shared “F1 Pro” name.
Launch coverage placed HX 370 models between $1,339 and $1,699, depending on memory and storage. Those are historical presale figures, not a current universal price.
As of the official-store snapshot checked on August 18, 2026, the OneXPlayer product page displayed a $999 sale figure for a 32GB/1TB HX 370 configuration, while also showing higher list-price information and sold-out sale elements elsewhere on the page. Treat that as a volatile storefront signal, not a guaranteed price or stock statement. Before buying, verify the exact CPU, RAM, SSD, condition, region, shipping cost, warranty coverage, return policy and whether the listed unit is actually available.

Steam Deck OLED
The Steam Deck OLED has a more polished SteamOS experience and a simpler console-like relationship with the Steam library. Its display is 1280×800 at 90Hz, according to the launch comparison cited by Tom’s Hardware, and its performance is substantially below the HX 370/Radeon 890M class. Choose the Deck OLED for software simplicity and value; choose the F1 Pro for Windows flexibility, higher resolution, higher refresh and substantially more integrated-graphics headroom.

ASUS ROG Ally X
The ROG Ally X is a mainstream Windows alternative built around a Ryzen Z1 Extreme-class platform. It may be preferable for buyers who prioritize established accessories, broader support or a larger-battery-oriented design. The F1 Pro’s main advantages are its OLED panel and HX 370 platform. Current Ally X pricing and stock should be checked separately rather than inferred from launch-era comparisons.

Lenovo Legion Go
The Legion Go is aimed at a different use case, with a larger display and detachable controllers. It is a better fit for buyers who value screen size and controller flexibility over the F1 Pro’s compact body and OLED contrast.
Newer 2026 handhelds
Newer handhelds using Ryzen AI Max, Ryzen Z2, Intel Arc and other platforms may change the performance and value equation. The available F1 Pro evidence does not support calling it the fastest handheld in 2026. Compare current devices using controlled results, battery capacity, support terms and real prices—not processor names alone.

Quick Recap
What to check before ordering
- Confirm that the listing explicitly says Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, not Ryzen AI 9 365, Ryzen 7 8840U or another F1 Pro variant.
- Record the exact RAM, SSD capacity, condition, region and date of the quoted price.
- Check whether the unit is in stock and whether the displayed sale price applies at checkout.
- Read the warranty, return and shipping terms, especially if ordering from an overseas specialist retailer.
- Budget for a suitable USB-C dock, charger, power bank, case or screen protector if needed.
- Plan to tune game profiles rather than expecting every title to use the 144Hz panel at native 1080p.
