How to beat Ozma in phase 1
Destructoid’s guide recommends fighting at close range: it says Ozma attacks more when you stay far away. Staying near the boss also gives you a clearer chance to react to the spear attacks the guide highlights.

Manage Chaos Spears
- Parry or use Perfect Guard against incoming spears when you can time the response.
- Destroy spears embedded in the ground before they accumulate. Destructoid warns that leaving them there can enable powerful attacks.
The same guide recommends carrying Chaos, Fire, and Water purification items for this phase. That is its item advice, not a verified requirement or a comparison showing those items are better than alternatives.
How to beat Ozma in phase 2
In phase 2, identify whether an attack is chaos-infused or a non-chaos physical attack before choosing your defense. Destructoid recommends dodging chaos-infused attacks to prevent chaos buildup, and Perfect Guarding non-chaos physical attacks.

Use the winged eyes as a warning
When Ozma’s eight winged eyes open, the guide says a dangerous Chaos ability is coming. After the ability, the eyes temporarily close; use that brief opening to attack. Destructoid recommends Chaos purification items for this phase, but does not provide a full attack-string breakdown or precise timing chart.
What is known about phase 3?
Destructoid’s March 2025 guide says its author had not yet triggered phase 3 and would update that section later. It therefore does not establish phase 3 mechanics or provide a complete true-ending walkthrough. A search result elsewhere mentions three phases, but the consulted written material does not reliably explain how endings affect the encounter, so this guide does not infer those details.
Choose a build that suits your defense style
No particular weapon or skill is established as mandatory for Ozma. PowerPyx describes the game’s weapon styles in general terms; its Ozma entry is an embedded video without a text strategy, so it does not support a weapon ranking specifically for this fight.

PowerPyx describes Netherworld Energy as a regular healing resource that recharges at a Blade Nexus. Its guide also says Willpower Orbs consume Spirit, restore 50% health, and can be carried up to 20 at a time. Those figures are guide-reported item details, not an official item reference; check the item description in your game for the values that apply to your version.
