Yes, you can now play P.T. on a PC through an unofficial fan-made port—but it does not include the game. You need your own compatible files from the PS4 release, plus a PC that meets the project’s graphics and operating-system requirements. The port is not an official release from Konami or Kojima Productions.
What the P.T. PC port is—and what it isn’t
The pt-pc project describes itself as a native port, not an emulator or a remake. Its maintainer says the game logic was rebuilt in C++, with a Vulkan renderer that reads levels, models, textures, sounds, scripts, and cutscenes from the player’s own PS4 game files at runtime. The project says it covers the teaser from its opening through the street, including the voice-related sequence. These are the maintainer’s descriptions; they are not independent test results.

The installer and repository do not contain P.T.’s game data. The project says it contains none of Konami’s or Kojima Productions’ assets, and that it is not affiliated with or endorsed by either company. P.T. is the 2014 PS4 teaser made by Kojima Productions and owned by Konami. A reported acknowledgment of the fan project by Hideo Kojima does not establish a license, publisher approval, or official status.

These are the project’s documented requirements and platform claims; check the README and release notes for changes before downloading. The maintainer notes that Intel Macs need a compatible GPU through MoltenVK, and that the Intel Mac build had not been run on an Intel Mac at the time documented.

Optional graphics features have higher requirements: ray-traced shadows, ambient occlusion, and reflections need Vulkan ray queries; DLSS requires a GeForce RTX card; FSR and XeSS are listed for recent GPUs on Windows. These features are not stated as requirements for playing the port, and the project does not give a recommended GPU or performance target.
You need compatible files from your own copy of P.T.
The README says the port was built and tested with the US release, product code CUSA01127, supplied either as a dump folder or a fake PKG made from that dump. It says European and Japanese releases install, but the maintainer has not personally inspected those versions’ data. A store PKG cannot be used directly: it is encrypted for the console that owns it, and the project does not decrypt it.

The installer accepts a dump folder or fake PKG and copies the three archives the port needs. If you use a portable download, first extract it to a folder. In either case, the game files must come from you; downloading the port alone does not provide P.T..

Keyboard and mouse are supported, including WASD movement. Gamepads also work, and button prompts follow whichever input device was used most recently. A controller is optional, not a prerequisite.

A microphone is used for one sequence, but the project documents a keyboard or controller-trigger alternative. You do not need a microphone to get past that sequence.

P.T. was a playable teaser for Silent Hills, released for PS4 in 2014 and delisted in early 2015, according to PC Gamer’s October 8, 2026 report. The port’s creator, Lorean Xavier, told the publication that work had been underway since 2024 and said, “That something so influential could eventually become practically unplayable never sat right with me.”

Because the port uses rebuilt game logic and reads the original content from user-supplied files, it offers a different approach from a fan recreation that rebuilds the experience separately. That distinction does not by itself prove exact fidelity. GamesRadar quoted P.T. dataminer Lance McDonald praising how closely the port matched undocumented behavior he knew, but that assessment is McDonald’s—not a published independent verification of every part of the port.

Where to get it and what to check first
Use the project’s GitHub repository for the README and current releases. Before downloading, confirm that your operating system, CPU architecture, graphics driver, and Vulkan support match the current requirements, and that you have compatible game files from your own copy. The project’s availability and compatibility can change with releases.
