p2pstatreport.dll is an application DLL associated with old BaiduPlayer and HiPlayer media-player bundles, not a Windows system file. If Windows says p2pstatreport.dll is missing, was not found, or could not be loaded, repair or remove the program that originally installed it rather than downloading a loose replacement.
The file has appeared beside components such as P2PBase.dll, StatReport.exe, and BaiduP2PService.exe. Historical installations used paths similar to:
C:Program FilesBaiduBaiduPlayer
C:Program Fileshihiplayer
The exact folder depends on the installation. BaiduPlayer and HiPlayer appear to share related components, but their precise distribution history is not clear.

A public historical record identifies one 32-bit build as version 1.0.7.33, but that is not a verified current version and should not be treated as the correct file for every installation. Other historical records show different builds.

First, identify the program requesting the DLL
Do this before attempting a repair. A missing-DLL dialog often names only the file, while the complete path identifies the application.
Check the error dialog
Read the full message and look for a path such as:
C:Program FilesBaiduBaiduPlayerP2PStatReport.dll
If the dialog appears when launching a particular media player, start with that program. If it appears immediately after signing in to Windows, an old startup entry may be launching a program that was only partly removed.
Check installed applications
- Press Windows + I.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps.
- Search for
BaiduPlayer,HiPlayer, or another recently removed media application. - Open the three-dot menu beside a matching entry.
- Choose Advanced options, if available.
You can also search the Start menu for the suspected player. Do not assume that a similarly named modern application is the same legacy program.
Check Task Manager startup entries
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
- Select Startup apps.
- Look for Baidu, HiPlayer, BaiduPlayer,
StatReport, or an unknown entry associated with the error. - Right-click the entry and choose Open file location, if available.
- Note the folder and publisher.
- If the program is obsolete and you do not need it, select Disable.
Disabling a startup entry stops the immediate error but does not remove the underlying application. Uninstall the parent program afterward.

- Press Windows + R.
- Type
eventvwr.msc. - Press Enter.
- Open Windows Logs and select Application.
- Look for an error recorded at the time the DLL message appeared.
- Read the Faulting application path and Faulting module path.
The paths are more useful than the generic error wording. They can distinguish an old player installation from an unrelated program that happens to request a file with the same name.
Fix 1: Repair or reinstall the parent application
This is the most likely and safest fix when BaiduPlayer or HiPlayer is still installed.
Try Windows repair
- Press Windows + I.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps.
- Find the parent media player.
- Select the three-dot menu.
- Choose Advanced options.
- Select Repair, if Windows provides that button.
- Restart Windows and launch the application again.
A repair normally preserves application data while replacing missing program files. If the error remains, return to the same screen and use Reset only if you accept that application settings or local data may be removed.
Uninstall and reinstall from a trusted original source
If repair is unavailable or fails:
- Save any playlists or user data that belong to the player.
- Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
- Select the player and choose Uninstall.
- Restart Windows.
- Reinstall only from an original installer you already trust or a verified vendor-provided source.
- Avoid installers bundled with unrelated download managers or system cleaners.
- Launch the program and confirm that the error no longer appears.
No current official BaiduPlayer or HiPlayer Windows installer or support page can be verified here. Baidu’s current Windows download page is for Baidu Netdisk, not this legacy player. If you cannot obtain a trustworthy original installer and no longer need the player, complete removal is safer than restoring a loose DLL.

If the program is not listed in Installed apps, check Control Panel → Programs → Programs and Features. Older applications may use that uninstall interface instead.
Fix 2: Check whether antivirus quarantined the file
Security software may remove or quarantine an old application component. That does not prove the file was harmless or malicious. The detection name, exact path, signature, and surrounding files must be evaluated together.
Review Microsoft Defender Protection History
- Open Start and search for Windows Security.
- Open it.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Expand detections associated with BaiduPlayer, HiPlayer, or
p2pstatreport.dll. - Record the detection name and original file path.
- Do not restore the file merely because the application requests it.
If the application and original installer are trusted, reinstalling the complete application is preferable to restoring one quarantined DLL. If you restore a quarantined item, scan it first and understand that Microsoft Defender may detect it again unless the item is explicitly allowed.
If the detection concerns an unknown copy in a temporary folder, a download folder, or a system directory, leave it quarantined and run a full scan:
- In Windows Security, open Virus & threat protection.
- Select Scan options.
- Choose Full scan.
- Select Scan now.
Fix 3: Remove an orphaned startup entry
If the player was already uninstalled but the error appears at every sign-in, Windows may still be trying to launch an obsolete component.
First disable the entry in Task Manager → Startup apps as described above. Then inspect these locations carefully:
C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartUp
%AppData%MicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartup
Press Windows + R, enter each path separately, and remove only shortcuts that clearly belong to the unwanted player.
You can also inspect scheduled tasks:
- Press Windows + R.
- Type
taskschd.msc. - Press Enter.
- Select Task Scheduler Library.
- Look for tasks named for BaiduPlayer, HiPlayer, or a related updater.
- Check the Actions tab to confirm the executable path.
- Disable or delete a task only when you have identified it as obsolete.
Do not delete an unknown task solely because its name looks unusual. If the entry is in the registry and you are not certain what it does, uninstall cleanup is safer than manual registry editing.

Fix 4: Repair Windows components only when other files also fail
p2pstatreport.dll is not shown as a Windows system DLL, so DISM and SFC are lower-probability fixes for this particular error. Use them when several unrelated Windows components are malfunctioning, Windows Update is damaged, or system files were affected by a broader problem.
- Open Start.
- Type
Command Prompt. - Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Run:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for it to finish.
- Then run:
sfc /scannow
- Restart Windows.
Microsoft recommends running DISM before SFC. If SFC reports that it repaired files, test the application again. If both commands complete without resolving the message, return to repairing or removing the parent player rather than repeating them indefinitely.
Manually hunting through Windows repair steps and repeating SFC or DISM without knowing what changed can be time-consuming. Also install pending updates:
- Open Settings.
- Select Windows Update.
- Select Check for updates.
- Install available updates.
- Restart when requested.
Fix 5: Check architecture and dependencies
Indexed samples of this file are 32-bit. A 32-bit application can run on 64-bit Windows, but a 32-bit DLL does not become a 64-bit DLL simply because the operating system is 64-bit.
Use the application’s original installer and matching build. Do not replace a file from one player release with a file from another. A wrong build may produce:
- “The specified module could not be found”
- “The application was unable to start correctly”
- “The file is missing or corrupted”
- “This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect”
- “The program is not designed to run on Windows”
“The specified module could not be found” can also mean that a dependency of p2pstatreport.dll is missing. That is another reason to reinstall the complete parent program rather than copying only the named file.
Visual C++ and DirectX
Do not install Visual C++ or DirectX solely because this DLL is missing. They do not recreate p2pstatreport.dll.
Install the official Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable only when the application installer or a separate error identifies that runtime. For a 32-bit player, the x86 package may be required even on 64-bit Windows.

Drivers and Device Manager
A graphics or audio driver normally does not restore an application-local DLL. Use Device Manager only when the player also has a clearly identified hardware or driver error:
- Right-click Start.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand the relevant category, such as Display adapters or Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click the affected device.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
Do not uninstall a working device just to address p2pstatreport.dll.
Manually checking every device and guessing which driver is stale can take longer than the actual application repair. What not to do
Do not download a loose DLL
Random DLL download sites sites may provide malware, a wrong build, an altered file, or a DLL for the wrong architecture. Even a genuine file may not fix a missing dependency or damaged installation.
The safe sources are the original application installer, a verified vendor-provided installer, or a complete backup of the same installation. Do not copy the file into C:WindowsSystem32 or C:WindowsSysWOW64. Application DLLs normally belong beside the executable that loads them, and Windows searches the application directory early in its DLL search order.
Do not run regsvr32 as a generic repair
regsvr32 is intended for DLLs that expose registration entry points such as DllRegisterServer. p2pstatreport.dll appears to be a private application library, not a documented COM or ActiveX component.
Running this will not normally repair it:
regsvr32 p2pstatreport.dll
It may produce another error or create misleading troubleshooting steps. Use registration only when the application vendor explicitly instructs you to do so.

Turning on .NET Framework, legacy components, or other Windows Features will not normally recreate an application DLL. Enable a feature only when a separate error identifies that feature as a requirement.
If the error still appears
If reinstalling the parent application does not help:

- Confirm that the shortcut launches the newly installed copy, not an old folder.
- Check Task Manager startup entries again.
- Look for a second BaiduPlayer or HiPlayer installation directory.
- Review Protection History for a new quarantine event.
- Check whether the error names a missing dependency rather than the DLL itself.
- Confirm that the installed application is compatible with the system architecture.
- If the problem began immediately after a known software or driver change, consider System Restore.
To open System Restore, press Windows + R, type rstrui.exe, and press Enter. Choose a restore point from before the change only if you understand which applications and settings may be affected.
If no parent application can be identified, scan the computer, inspect startup items, and leave the file alone. An unexplained copy of p2pstatreport.dll is not a reason to place a downloaded replacement in a Windows directory.

Is p2pstatreport.dll part of Windows?
No public evidence identifies it as a Windows component. It is associated with old BaiduPlayer and HiPlayer application files.
Is it a Microsoft Visual C++ or DirectX file?
No. Those runtimes may be dependencies of an application, but they do not supply this specific DLL.
What does “could not be loaded” mean?
The file may be missing, damaged, the wrong architecture, or present while one of its dependencies is missing. Reinstalling the complete parent application is the safest way to restore the correct group of files.
Should I copy it to System32 or SysWOW64?

Why does the message appear after uninstalling the player?
The program may have been removed while a startup shortcut, scheduled task, or registry entry remained. Disable the stale launcher and remove the obsolete application entry.

What is the definitive fix?
Identify the calling program, then repair or reinstall that program from a trusted original source. If the legacy player is no longer wanted and no trustworthy installer is available, uninstall it and remove its stale startup entry instead of restoring a loose DLL.
