Palworld’s Feybreak update, version 0.4.11, was released on December 22, 2024, according to Pocketpair’s official Steam announcement. It added a new island and faction, expanded exploration and base-management systems, and brought new combat challenges, equipment, and customization. Feybreak is a historical update, not Palworld’s current version.
When did the Feybreak update come out?
Pocketpair’s official Steam Community notice is dated December 22, 2024, and says version 0.4.11 “has been released.” Some reports carried a December 23 date, reflecting publication and timezone conventions. The official notice describes Feybreak as “A new island, Feybreak, [that] has appeared! A mysterious island with many challenges, glowing sand and many new Pals!” (Pocketpair’s v0.4.11 announcement).
What did Feybreak add to Palworld?
A new island, Pals, and faction
Feybreak is a new landmass with new Pals and resources. The island is dominated by the Feybreak Warriors, a new faction whose missile battery camp is among the update’s challenges.
New resources and ways to explore
Chromite is buried underground and can be found with Pals or items that detect metal; the update specifically adds a Metal Detector for locating it. Hexolite Quartz is a rare ore found only on Feybreak. These resources give players reasons to search the island as well as explore its landmarks.

Skins, building pieces, and quality-of-life changes
The update added six Christmas skins for all players and redistributed three previously limited-time skins to everyone. It also introduced Japanese-style foundations and sliding doors, interface changes, balance adjustments, and bug fixes.
Was Feybreak a major update?
In practical terms, Feybreak touched several parts of Palworld at once: it added a place to explore, resources to find, systems for passive progression and supply gathering, new combat activities, and a substantial set of base and equipment additions. That breadth explains why it stood out as a large content update. “Tumultuous” is a characterization of Palworld’s year, however, not a conclusion established by the update announcement itself.

No. Feybreak refers to version 0.4.11, released in December 2024. Later versions followed, including v0.5.0 in March 2025, according to the Palworld.tools patch history. That history establishes that 0.4.11 was superseded, but does not establish the latest version today.
