Boss order in the Pantheon of the Sage
The encounter sequence is:
- Hive Knight
- Elder Hu
- The Collector
- God Tamer
- Troupe Master Grimm
- A bench and hot spring rest stop
- Galien
- Grey Prince Zote, if eligible
- Uumuu
- Hornet (Sentinel)
- A Godseeker room
- Great Nailsage Sly
The bench and hot spring come after Grimm, while the Godseeker room is a non-combat stop before Sly. Grey Prince Zote is the only conditional fight in the listed sequence. The order and room details are documented by the community-maintained Hollow Knight reference.
What you need to unlock it
The same reference lists seven required victories: Hive Knight, Elder Hu, The Collector, Grimm, Galien, Uumuu, and Hornet (Sentinel). The listed unlock requirements do not include God Tamer, even though she appears in the Pantheon sequence.
The Pantheon of the Sage is the third of Godhome’s Pantheons, between the Pantheon of the Artist and the Pantheon of the Knight. Team Cherry’s Steam listing for Hollow Knight describes Godmaster as content adding new boss fights; it does not specify this Pantheon’s order or unlock requirements.

When Grey Prince Zote appears
Grey Prince Zote appears after Galien only if you saved Zote in Greenpath and have already defeated Grey Prince Zote in the base game. If you left Zote to die or have not defeated Grey Prince Zote, the encounter is skipped. Defeating him is not required to open the Pantheon, according to the community-maintained reference.

Use the sequence to plan your run rather than treating every listed stop as a fight: there is a rest stop after Grimm and a non-combat Godseeker room immediately before Sly. If you are checking whether a missing encounter blocks entry, distinguish the unlock list from the run itself—God Tamer is fought during the Pantheon but is not listed as an unlock requirement, and Grey Prince Zote is conditional.
