Pick up any Torn Map Piece to start it, find the pieces in the first areas of Whakapanu Island, Shrike Island, Isle of Kin, and Kedge Bay, then give all four to Makoru in Kingsmarch. After that, travel to Plunder’s Point, speak with Dannig, and complete the Expedition encounter.
Where to find all four Torn Map Pieces
There is one piece in the first area of each listed location. A walkthrough updated December 18, 2025, says pieces are usually near checkpoints; search the area around each checkpoint as you explore. Game8’s Forgotten Bounty walkthrough
- Whakapanu Island: Search the first area.
- Shrike Island: Search the first area.
- Isle of Kin: Search the first area.
- Kedge Bay: Search the first area.
Picking up the first piece triggers the quest, so you do not need to find a separate quest giver before starting the search.
How to complete Forgotten Bounty
- Collect the four pieces. Explore the first area of each of the four locations above.
- Return to Kingsmarch. Speak with Makoru and select the Torn Map Pieces you have collected to turn them in.
- Go to Plunder’s Point. Once all four pieces are submitted, travel there and summon and speak with Dannig.
- Complete the Expedition encounter. Place explosives across the encounter area, detonate them, and defeat the enemy packs that spawn. The Plunder’s Point encounter is described as a large Expedition event using 18 explosives. PoE2 Wiki: Plunder’s Point
What to know before starting the Plunder’s Point encounter
The encounter is reported to be a one-time attempt: the PoE2 Wiki’s indexed Plunder’s Point page warns that dying removes the encounter. The page could not be directly opened, so treat this as a community-wiki warning; no recovery method is established here.

A player on the official Path of Exile forum reported that after completing the zone and saving Makoru, speaking to Rhodri in town and selecting Makoru reinstated her. This is a player-reported workaround, not an officially confirmed or universal fix, but it is worth trying if she is absent. Path of Exile forum: “MAKORU not there, Forgotten Bounty Quest”
