PEAK supports offline solo play and online co-op for up to four players total. On Steam, the host can invite up to three other players from their Steam friends list. Landfall’s current official materials do not list local co-op or split-screen, and the game has no in-game matchmaking. Console versions and cross-play have been announced as plans, but a release date is not stated.
How many players can play PEAK?
Online co-op supports up to four players total: one host plus up to three invited scouts. The Steam store listing gives the clearest current instructions for PC: invite other players through Steam. Landfall’s official game page also describes climbing with friends.
How to play PEAK online with friends
- Use the Steam version. Landfall describes the current multiplayer setup as Steam-friends only.
- Invite up to three friends through Steam. The host counts toward the four-player total.
- Climb together. Teammates can help one another up ledges and place ropes or climbing spikes to make sections more manageable for players following behind.
Co-op is built around shared route-making and recovery during the climb. Players scavenge food and manage injuries; setbacks can reduce stamina, making the team’s decisions and assistance matter.
Does PEAK have matchmaking?
No. Landfall’s official FAQ says PEAK is a Steam-friends-only game and does not offer matchmaking. The FAQ suggests playing solo or joining the game’s community Discord to connect with other players. Discord is a community option, not an in-game lobby or matchmaker.

Can you play PEAK solo or offline?
Yes. Landfall says single-player can be played offline, so you do not need an internet connection or another player to attempt the climb. Official materials describe solo and co-op as ways to play the same climbing premise; they do not establish separate campaigns or mode-specific progression differences.
Does PEAK have local co-op or split-screen?
Landfall’s official materials list online co-op and offline single-player, but do not list local multiplayer or split-screen as supported modes. That means there is no officially documented couch co-op setup to follow. Unofficial mods or workarounds should not be treated as standard or supported multiplayer features.

Is PEAK cross-platform?
Not as a currently confirmed released feature in the official information reviewed. Landfall says it is working on console versions and intends console players to play with the existing Steam community and players on other consoles. The FAQ gives no console release date, so treat cross-play as an announced plan rather than an available option. The Steam listing identifies the Windows release date as June 16, 2025.

Landfall calls the Citadel and Gloom releases the game’s final major update. The developer says it plans to continue bug fixes and maintenance until the game is stable, while returning to other projects; this is not a promise of further major content updates.
