Every missing person in Persona 3 Reload is found on a specific Tartarus floor, but the floor—not a fixed room—is the reliable location clue. Rescue each person before the listed deadline, which is tied to the next Full Moon. The January entries are included below, but the consulted guides do not establish their floors.
How missing-person rescues work
Elizabeth notifies you when someone goes missing and can give an approximate floor range. While exploring Tartarus, Fuuka can tell you when the party is on a floor with a missing person and provide proximity guidance. Floor layouts vary, so use the floor number below as your target rather than expecting a fixed room coordinate.
After finding someone, you can take them to the entrance or ask for an escort and keep exploring. Once you have rescued them, return to the police station and speak with Officer Kurosawa to receive the reward.
All missing persons, Tartarus floors, and deadlines
Dates are the in-game month/day dates. “Reported missing” means the date the game reports or records the disappearance. A few dates, names, and deadlines vary between guides; where the September deadline differs, September 4 is the conservative date to use. Follow the date shown in your game if it differs.

Which rescues are especially important?
- Bunkichi Kitamura: rescuing him is necessary to continue the Hierophant Social Link.
- Maiko Oohashi: rescuing her is necessary to continue the Hanged Man Social Link.
- Ayako Yoshimoto: the megaten-database records that failing to rescue her locks Elizabeth Request #97, “Bring me my Christmas present.”
How to plan Tartarus trips
People with the same deadline can often be rescued on one trip: wait until everyone in that group has appeared, then climb far enough to reach every listed floor. RPG Site recommends this approach. The August 5 group has a particularly short window, so prioritize it rather than waiting for a later group.
- Check Elizabeth’s notifications and note each missing person’s deadline.
- Use the floor list to plan a climb that reaches all currently reported targets before their deadline.
- Listen to Fuuka’s floor and proximity guidance while searching; the exact room can vary.
- After the rescues, speak with Officer Kurosawa at the police station to collect rewards.
Sources and date differences
The floor, deadline, and reward list is cross-referenced from RPG Site’s guide (February 4, 2024), a Steam Community guide, and megaten-database. Their September rescue deadline differs by one day, and several spellings and report dates also vary. For the September group, use September 4 unless your in-game report gives a different deadline. The consulted sources do not give the January floors, so those entries are left unspecified.
