To start Sayoko Uehara’s Devil Social Link in Persona 4 Golden on PC, reach Diligence rank 3, apply for the Hospital Janitor job when it becomes available on May 25, and keep working it until the Social Link event triggers. A community guide reports that the link begins after two shifts, but another community reference says three; the exact count is not consistent. Sayoko is available Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights, and the guide says you cannot start her link on a rainy day.
How to start Sayoko’s Devil Social Link
- Raise Diligence to rank 3. The job requirement listed by a community-maintained route guide is Diligence rank 3.
- Apply for the Hospital Janitor job on or after May 25. The job is the trigger for meeting Sayoko.
- Work the job until the Social Link event appears. One community guide says two work occasions are needed; a GameFAQs guide describes three. Because the count differs between community references, treat the shift total as uncertain and continue working until the event triggers.
The reported meeting schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. The guide specifically says the link cannot be started on rainy days. These route details are from a user-maintained guide, not an official Atlus walkthrough.

Important Devil Social Link answers
The community guide identifies the following dialogue responses as important for rank progression. Select the listed response when it appears; the source says its other listed choices do not affect rank progression.
| Rank event | Reported response |
|---|---|
| Rank 2 to 3 | “For the money,” “I do,” and “Stop it!” |
| Rank 3 to 4 | “…Okay” |
| Rank 4 to 5 | “It’s like a soap opera,” then comfort Sayoko if Understanding is rank 5; otherwise, cheer her up. |
| Rank 6 to 7 | “Hang in there.” |
These are the answers as reported by the community guide; they are not presented as independently tested PC-game results.

Scheduling Sayoko alongside other evening activities
Starting the job as soon as it is available gives you more opportunities to reach the trigger without relying on a late-game rush. The job and Social Link both use evening time, so working shifts competes with other activities that can use that time. The guide does not establish an optimal calendar or a tested schedule; prioritize an available work night when your immediate goal is unlocking the link, then use the listed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings for Sayoko’s events.
Rank 10 reward and story-ending scope
According to the community route guide, completing Sayoko’s Social Link to rank 10 unlocks the ability to fuse the ultimate Devil Persona, Beelzebub. A separate Steam community guide discusses avoiding a bad ending in connection with later December story decisions, not Sayoko’s route. The available guide information therefore does not identify Sayoko’s Social Link as an ending-critical flag; that should not be read as a claim about every optional reward or completion goal.

What is confirmed about the PC version
Atlus lists Windows and Steam among the supported platforms for Persona 4 Golden and describes Social Links as relationships players choose to develop: Atlus’s official Persona 4 Golden site. The character-specific schedule and dialogue above come from community-maintained guides. The available sources do not compare Sayoko’s route between PC and console versions.
