A 12-month PS5 console-exclusivity window has been reported by gaming outlets, but S-GAME has not confirmed that duration in the primary sources cited here.
When does Phantom Blade Zero release?
S-GAME lists Phantom Blade Zero for October 29, 2026, on its official site. In a PlayStation Blog post dated August 17, 2026, S-GAME founder and CEO Soulframe Liang gave October 29 as the release date, noting October 28 for the US and select regions. The Steam listing also shows October 28, 2026. These are regional date differences for the same scheduled launch, not evidence of separate releases.

Which platforms are confirmed at launch?
The official PlayStation Blog and Steam listing confirm PlayStation 5 and PC. Steam identifies S-GAME Studio as developer and S-GAME Publishing as publisher for the PC version. The sources cited here do not establish an Xbox or Switch 2 edition for launch; that does not rule out a later announcement or port.

Two gaming outlets, Shane the Gamer and iGame Magazine, report a 12-month PS5 console-exclusivity period. S-GAME’s cited primary announcements do not state that term, so treat it as secondary reporting rather than a confirmed promise about when another console version will arrive.

What kind of game is Phantom Blade Zero?
It is an action RPG set in the Wulin, a dark wuxia world shaped by conflict and intrigue. You play as Soul, a warrior framed for murdering his master. A wound leaves him with 66 days to live as he tries to uncover a conspiracy while being pursued. The PlayStation Blog says encounters with citizens in need can open story paths and deepen the player’s understanding of the world.
How do combat and difficulty work?
S-GAME describes a customizable combat system built around more than 30 main weapons and 25 secondary weapons called Phantom Edges. Weapons can be upgraded and paired with accessories; summons can help in battle. After upgrading a weapon, players can reforge it and reinvest materials in a different build, offering a way to experiment without permanently locking those materials into one setup.

The PlayStation Blog also says Donnie Yen served as creative consultant and performed facial and motion capture for Mó Yuan. That is a credited performance and consulting role, not a claim that Yen directed or developed the game.
What editions and purchase details are listed?
S-GAME’s official site lists standard and deluxe editions. It says pre-ordering provides early access to the Treasure Basin accessory and Legacy outfit, while also noting that both items can be earned through in-game progression. The deluxe edition adds two outfits, a digital artbook, and a digital soundtrack. Availability and contents may vary by region or storefront.

When checked for this article, the US Steam listing displayed $59.99 for the standard edition and $69.99 for the digital deluxe edition. These are storefront prices at a particular time and in a particular region, so check Steam for current pricing. The sources cited here do not verify a physical PS5 edition.
