Kinetic Games announced that Crimson Eye ran from October 9 to October 31, 2025. The event is historical and is no longer active. The developer has separately announced a Crimson Eye event for October 8 through November 1, 2026, but those dates alone do not confirm that the 2025 map pool or mechanics will return.

Which maps had Blood Moon weather?
The event’s seven-map pool was:
- 6 Tanglewood Drive
- Camp Woodwind
- Grafton Farmhouse
- Bleasdale Farmhouse
- Point Hope
- 42 Edgefield Road
- 13 Willow Street
Four of these maps rotated into the guaranteed Blood Moon selection each day. On other maps—including event-pool maps not selected for that day—Blood Moon weather remained possible at random, rather than guaranteed.

What did Blood Moon weather change?
Blood Moon weather raised the danger of an investigation: ghosts moved faster during hunts and Sanity drained more quickly. Successful investigations in Blood Moon weather received a 10% reward boost, according to Kinetic Games. The announcement did not specify the exact speed increase or Sanity-loss modifier.
In the developer’s words, “Ghosts will have increased speed during hunts and your Sanity will drain quicker, however in return you’ll be granted higher rewards upon completing an investigation.”

How did event progress work?
A player-authored Steam walkthrough reports that Moon Totems appeared on Blood Moon maps and could be interacted with for event progress. It also describes progress from optional objectives, correctly identifying the ghost, and the difficulty multiplier. These are community-guide details, not a complete official rules breakdown.
The guide contains conflicting point values in different passages, and commenters correct some of its reward-threshold information. As a result, its precise point accounting and thresholds should not be treated as definitive. What rewards could players earn?
Kinetic Games confirmed that event goals unlocked in-game rewards, but its announcement text did not list them. The Steam community walkthrough reports a Crimson Eye 2025 ID card and an upgradable event trophy as event rewards, plus a foil event ID card and personal trophy upgrades. Those reward names and categories come from the community guide; its exact progression thresholds are not reliable enough to state as settled figures.

What is confirmed about the 2026 event?
Kinetic Games announced a separate Crimson Eye run for October 8 through November 1, 2026. That establishes the announced dates, not that the 2025 maps, weather rotation, difficulty changes, reward boost, or rewards will be reused. Check the current event announcement for details before planning around any 2025 mechanic.
