You play a hungry possum sneaking through areas patrolled by dogs. Eat food, hide in bushes, and use items to evade or distract pursuers. The goal is to reach the dogs’ leader and steal the crown. The premise is intentionally silly, and the appeal is less about a complicated stealth simulation than the tension and comedy of snatching food while a patrol is nearby.
How does it play, and is it worth it?
The central question is whether this compact loop sounds fun to repeat. If you enjoy quick arcade challenges, playful stealth, and improvised escapes, Pizza Possum has a clear hook. Smoke bombs and punching gloves add ways to handle trouble, while bushes give you a place to duck out of sight. Steam lists both single-player and local shared/split-screen co-op.

The trade-off is longevity. A PlayStation Universe review excerpt published October 4, 2023, praised its approachable premise and presentation but observed that it runs its course quickly and could use more variety later. On Switch, consider how you plan to play together before buying: Nintendo lists TV, tabletop, and handheld modes, and notes that an additional accessory may be required. It does not specify a particular controller model. Nintendo also cautions that compatibility and play experience can differ on Switch Lite, so check your setup if that is your system.
