The Plants vs Brainrots Storyline Update introduced Story Mode missions built around five enemy storylines. The October 18, 2025 changelog announced 25 missions and said the Desert biome would unlock after mission 25. That is the launch announcement, not proof that 25 is the game’s current mission total: community listings extend to later invasions. Here’s what the update established and how to approach the mode without treating unofficial strategy tips as requirements.
What the Storyline Update announced
The changelog’s October 18, 2025 entry announced 25 Story Missions divided among five storylines, each with unique foes and rewards. The named launch storylines were Noobini, Tim Cheese, Los Tralaleritos, Orangutini Ananassini, and Orca. The announcement placed the Desert biome unlock after the 25th mission, at the end of the Orca storyline. Read the changelog entry.

The same entry also described an Admin Chest connected to performance in Admin Abuse Events and bulletin-board tasks. It does not, by itself, establish the present-day mission count or a complete current list of mission objectives and rewards.
How Story Mode works
The community-maintained Story page describes the mode as invasions in which Brainrots attack while plants defend. Plants have HP and temporarily disappear when their HP runs out; if Brainrots destroy the wheelbarrow, the player loses. The page also describes rewards for clearing invasions and new biomes every 25 invasions. These are community guidance, and some mission information is marked unknown, so check the in-game mission and reward details. See the community Story page.

How to prepare for an invasion
A third-party guide recommends thinking about damage, survivability, and timing rather than relying on one plant type. It suggests reliable damage, a healing, tank, or shield plant, and Lucky or Speed potions for critical windows. Those are suggestions from the guide, not official requirements or independently tested strategies. Read the Story Missions Guide and Rewards.
- Damage: Bring a dependable source of damage to help stop attackers before they reach the wheelbarrow.
- Survivability: Consider healing, tank, or shield support to help keep your defense active.
- Timing: The guide suggests saving Lucky or Speed potions for moments when their effect could matter most.
Use the plants and consumables available to you, and adjust your setup if an invasion overwhelms your defense. The cited guide does not provide a verified universal loadout, so these pointers should not be read as a guaranteed strategy.

Are there more than 25 missions now?
The community Story page lists invasion ranges beyond the original launch set, reaching at least invasions 91–95. That indicates the initial 25-mission announcement should not be treated as a complete current total. However, the available community listing does not establish an authoritative current count or reconcile every later mission with a current primary-source guide. For exact objectives and rewards, rely on the mission information shown in your game. Check the community mission listings.
