Electronic Arts’ release-date announcement was reported on November 5, 2015: Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 was set to arrive February 26, 2016, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. That report said the date moved the game ahead of its previously announced spring window. A later GamesBeat calendar lists February 23 instead, and the available sources do not explain the difference.
What release date was announced?
In a November 5, 2015 report, GamesBeat’s Mike Minotti said Electronic Arts had set February 26, 2016, as the release date for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. The report described it as an earlier launch than the spring window EA had announced previously. Read the GamesBeat report.

Which platforms were named?
The announcement report named PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It did not specify PC storefronts or provide separate dates by platform.
Why do sources list two dates?
GamesBeat’s later release calendar lists February 23, 2016, for the game, while its November 2015 announcement report gives February 26. The calendar does not explain the discrepancy or identify different regional dates. The available material therefore does not establish whether the dates reflect territory, a correction, or an error. For the headline’s announcement, the answer is February 26, 2016, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Because a later GamesBeat calendar gives February 23 without explaining why, the sources cited here do not settle a single date across territories.
