A contemporary report also named Saudi Arabia, so the two accounts do not give identical market lists. These are historical announcements—not evidence that the card is available today.
What was the Ultimate Game Card?
The Ultimate Game Card was a prepaid payment option for digital content in multiplayer games and social-network applications. Players could use it to pay for premium content without using a conventional payment method directly, according to PlaySpan’s announcement and contemporary reporting.

Saudi Arabia appears in the Financial Express report but not in the ATPress version of the announcement. The accounts therefore support reporting the difference, not treating the longer list as an agreed list.

The ATPress version of PlaySpan’s announcement said the card was already sold in 70,000 retail stores worldwide, including in Brazil, Canada, Portugal, the Philippines, Turkey and the United States. Financial Express separately described more than 70,000 international retail locations.

What PlaySpan said about the expansion
The ATPress copy attributes a statement to Carl Meta, identified only as a PlaySpan representative: “The developers and distributors of games in the countries we have announced this time have had great difficulty with monetization.” The sentence is translated in the Japanese release and should not be read as an English-language original quotation.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
