It is an Astro Bot-led licensed product—not proof of a worldwide line of PlayStation-logo blind-box figures.
What’s inside the Astro Bot blind packs?
Sony’s Japanese listing says each blind pack contains one randomly selected plush from five designs. A single pack does not let buyers choose which character they receive.
- Astro
- Jin Sakai Bot, from Ghost of Tsushima
- Ellie Bot, from The Last of Us
- Kratos Bot, from God of War
- Journey Bot
The characters are approximately 100 mm tall and have movable limbs. Good Smile Company is named as the manufacturer. Sony’s listing names Good Smile’s online shop and partner shops worldwide as sales channels. See Sony’s official Japanese product listing.
What price and release schedule did Sony list?
The Japanese listing gave a price of ¥2,200 including tax for one plush and ¥11,000 including tax for a five-piece box. These are the prices on that listing, not a promise of current or universal retail pricing. Sony set the preorder period for July 14–August 27, 2025, with delivery planned for January 2026.

How does it compare with other PlayStation collectibles?
PlayStation has also announced licensed collectibles with fixed contents. They offer a different buying experience: you know which product or characters you are getting, rather than receiving a random design from a blind pack.

Does this mean more PlayStation blind boxes are coming?
Not on the evidence Sony has published in the cited announcements. Sony Interactive Entertainment has described collectibles and toys and games as ongoing merchandise categories, while also discussing plans to expand into new categories. That is broader merchandising context, not an announcement of additional blind-box ranges.
“While we remain committed to key categories like Apparel & Accessories, Collectibles, and Toys & Games, we’re excited to expand into areas we’ve never explored before.” — Grace Chen, VP of Global Marketing, Sony Interactive Entertainment, July 2, 2025

Sony also describes separate licensing programs for peripherals and accessories and for logo-licensed lifestyle products such as apparel, accessories, and housewares. Those programs explain parts of its licensed-merchandise framework; they do not by themselves verify the authorization or current status of a particular seller’s product. Read Sony’s licensing-program overview. For a specific collectible, rely on the product listing and seller information rather than assuming that any PlayStation-themed item is officially licensed.

What should buyers check before ordering?
- Whether the contents are random: One plush pack is a surprise draw, so do not buy a single pack expecting a particular character.
- What a multipack means: Sony listed a five-piece box, but the listing’s random-selection description does not establish that a box guarantees five different designs.
- Who makes and sells it: Sony names Good Smile Company as manufacturer and lists its online shop and partner shops as sales channels.
- Whether the listing is current: Check live inventory and fulfillment details; the product page’s planned schedule is historical, not proof of current availability.
- Which market the price applies to: The listed yen prices include Japanese tax and should not be treated as a universal price.
