PlayStation Canada’s reported 30th Anniversary restock was a limited 2025 event, not an upcoming sale: preorders were due to open July 23, 2025, with shipments starting September 9, 2025. The report named three products—the PS5 Digital Edition bundle, DualSense controller and PlayStation Portal—and gave Canadian prices from that time. Those dates have passed, and the announcement does not establish current stock.
Which products were included in the Canadian restock?
In a July 15, 2025 report, iPhone in Canada said PlayStation Canada had told it that select retailers would offer limited availability of these three 30th Anniversary products:
- PlayStation 5 Digital Edition 30th Anniversary Console Bundle
- 30th Anniversary DualSense Wireless Controller
- 30th Anniversary PlayStation Portal
Sony describes the collection as limited-edition consoles and accessories with a legacy color scheme inspired by the original PlayStation. The Digital Edition bundle is part of Sony’s slim model group and includes the console and controller, a console cover for a disc drive, a vertical stand and small collector items. Sony’s Canadian collection page describes the Portal as a remote player for streaming compatible games installed on a PS5; it requires a PS5 and PlayStation account. Sony specifies Wi-Fi broadband of at least 5 Mbps and recommends 15 Mbps or faster for a better experience.
When were preorders and shipments scheduled?
The report gave July 23, 2025 as the Canadian preorder opening date and September 9, 2025 as the shipment start date. Both dates have passed. The announcement is historical; it does not say that another restock is planned.

Was the 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro included?
No PS5 Pro bundle was among the three products named for the reported Canadian restock. The report said the Pro was not expected in that restock; that is the report’s account, not a statement about a future Canadian release.
Sony’s broader collection includes a 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro bundle, but it is a separate product. Sony said globally that 12,300 numbered bundles would be available. That figure applies to the Pro bundle worldwide, not to the reported Canadian restock or to the Digital Edition, controller or Portal. Sony’s original announcement also lists the Digital Edition bundle, standalone Portal, DualSense Edge and DualSense as products in the wider collection. Sony announced the collection’s November 21, 2024 release.

Is any of the collection in stock in Canada now?
