May 29 was the start of PlayStation’s 2024 Days of Play event—not an upcoming date. That event ran through June 12, 2024. The latest event listed by PlayStation is the 2026 edition, which ran May 27 to June 10 and is now over; Sony has not announced a date for the next one.
Is Days of Play live now?
No. The May 29 headline refers to Sony Interactive Entertainment’s 2024 event, which began at 12:01 a.m. on May 29 and ended at 11:59 p.m. on June 12, in each region’s local time. PlayStation’s 2024 announcement gives those dates.

The latest official event page lists Days of Play 2026 as running May 27 to June 10, 2026, and says it is over. It directs visitors to PlayStation.com and PlayStation.Blog for future events and ongoing sales, but does not give a date for another Days of Play. The US Days of Play page is the current status reference; check your local PlayStation site for regional information.
What does Days of Play include?
PlayStation describes Days of Play as a sales and community event. Depending on the edition and region, it has combined promotions on games and hardware with community activities and PlayStation Plus content.

#1 Best Overall
- Redeem for anything on PlayStationStore: games, add-ons, PlayStationPlus and more.
- Everything you want to play. Choose from the largest library of PlayStation content.
- Use gift card funds to contribute towards PlayStationPlus memberships.
The 2024 event included offers on PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition, PlayStation VR2, selected games, console covers, PlayStation Plus memberships, and digital PlayStation Store titles. In 2025, Sony announced promotions on consoles, games, accessories, and gear, alongside PlayStation Plus games, catalog additions, trials, and membership offers. These are examples of past editions, not current deals. The 2025 announcement also named a DualSense wireless controller among promotional accessories. PlayStation’s 2025 announcement describes that edition.
Do I need PlayStation Plus?
No subscription is required for general participation, according to PlayStation’s 2026 event page. Individual benefits can have their own conditions: for example, some catalog titles announced in 2025 were for Extra and Premium/Deluxe members. Check the terms for the specific offer or activity you want to use.

How to check future dates and offers
- Open the official PlayStation site for your country or region and look for its Days of Play page or current deals.
- Check the offer’s start and end dates, eligible product and edition, final price, and whether it requires a particular membership tier.
- If buying from a retailer, confirm that retailer’s terms and availability. PlayStation says dates, prices, participating retailers, and eligibility can vary by region and offer.
Do not treat prices or discounts from the 2024 or 2025 announcements as current. The official 2026 page does not establish a future event date or current retailer promotions.
