Sony’s PlayStation Plus monthly games for May 2025 were Ark: Survival Ascended, Balatro and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. Members could add them from May 6 through June 2, 2025; that claim window has passed, so this is a recap rather than a current offer. Sony announced the lineup on April 30, 2025.
What were the PlayStation Plus games for May 2025?
The complete monthly lineup was:
- Ark: Survival Ascended — PS5
- Balatro — PS5 and PS4
- Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun — PS5 and PS4
Sony listed all three as PlayStation Plus monthly games available from May 6 through June 2, 2025. That period is over, and the announcement does not establish whether any of these titles are available through another offer today.

What kind of games are they?
Ark: Survival Ascended: survival and crafting
Sony describes Ark: Survival Ascended as a survival game about exploring, crafting, building, fighting, and taming and breeding creatures. The announcement says it includes access to multiple Ark worlds. Sony also lists public online multiplayer for up to 70 players, private sessions for up to eight, and local split-screen for two. These are details from Sony’s announcement, not independently tested player counts.
Balatro: poker-inspired deck building
Balatro is a poker-inspired roguelike deck builder. Sony’s description centers on playing poker hands and combining them with Joker cards to create synergies, earn chips, beat successive blinds, and work toward the final ante.

Can you still claim the May 2025 games?
No—not through the May monthly-games claim period. Sony’s current US membership page describes monthly games as a membership benefit: games added to a library can be played while membership is active. That general rule does not confirm that these three games remain individually available today. The page also distinguishes monthly games from the Extra Game Catalog and Premium Classics Catalog; catalog contents and membership terms can change. See PlayStation’s current US membership details for the service’s present description.
