There is no single, stable list of every PlayStation VR game: the original PS VR and PS VR2 are separate platforms, and their games are not interchangeable. Use the generation headings below to explore representative games, then check the title’s PlayStation Store compatibility label in your region before buying.
First, identify which PlayStation VR headset you have
Original PS VR games do not run on PS VR2. Sony’s PlayStation VR2 FAQ explains that the newer headset uses a different approach to playing games; a familiar title name does not mean the same version or purchase works on both systems.
- Original PS VR: Requires the original PS VR headset and PlayStation Camera, used with a PS4 or PS5. To use this setup on PS5, Sony specifies a PlayStation Camera adapter. See Sony’s original PS VR page for hardware requirements.
- PS VR2: Designed for PS5 and not compatible with PS4. It uses PS VR2 Sense controllers; original PS Move controllers do not work with PS VR2. Check Sony’s PS VR2 compatibility support page and the game’s Store listing.
When checking a specific game, look for its VR compatibility information on the PlayStation Store page. Cross-buy or upgrade terms vary by game and developer, so do not assume that owning one generation’s edition includes the other.

Sony describes Astro Bot Rescue Mission as having 26 missions and PlayStation VR Worlds as containing five experiences; those are publisher descriptions on its game page, not independent assessments.

Sony’s PS VR2 games page promotes titles including Resident Evil 4 VR Mode and Horizon Call of the Mountain, and provides a route to discover more games. Examples visible in the UK PlayStation Store’s PS VR2 category on 2026-10-08 included The Last Clockwinder, GORN, Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue, and Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate. That is a dated UK storefront snapshot, not a complete or global list; availability can differ by region and change over time.

The inspected UK Store category displayed 408 results, with 24 of 408 shown on the captured page on 2026-10-08. This count applies only to that regional PS VR2 category at that time. It is not the total number of games across both PlayStation VR generations. Browse the PlayStation Store UK PS VR2 category or your local Store and verify each game’s compatibility label.

Check how the game is played
PS VR2 listings identify supported VR play styles. Sony defines roomscale as requiring an area of at least 2 m × 2 m; some games instead support seated or standing play. Check the individual Store listing and Sony’s PS VR2 support information for the play style before choosing a game.
Check edition and regional availability
Sony says PS VR2 games are available digitally, and selected titles also have physical disc releases. Its FAQ does not enumerate current disc editions or guarantee stock. Confirm the specific edition and availability in your market before purchasing.
Keep dated catalog figures in context
Sony said in its 2023 FAQ that more than 30 games were expected in the PS VR2 launch window and that more than 100 titles were in development at that time. These are launch-era statements, not current catalog or development totals. The Store’s 408-result UK snapshot is likewise time- and region-specific.
