Pocket Worlds, the company behind social gaming platform Highrise, acquired AI-driven user-generated content (UGC) developer Infinite Canvas, according to GamesBeat’s report published January 27, 2025, and updated June 17, 2025. The companies said the team would work on new games, worlds and creator tools for Highrise; those are announced goals, not evidence of what has shipped since the deal.
What Pocket Worlds said the acquisition would do
Pocket Worlds framed the deal as a way to strengthen Highrise’s creator tools and enable more tailored experiences. GamesBeat reported that Infinite Canvas joined Pocket Worlds to focus on innovation in games, worlds and tools for Highrise. The acquisition announcement does not, by itself, establish that any particular feature or experience has since launched. GamesBeat’s acquisition report and CEO Anton Bernstein’s public announcement describe the companies’ stated rationale.
What Infinite Canvas built
Infinite Canvas developed AI-powered interactive experiences across platforms. GamesBeat described its proprietary technology as enabling large language models to interact with players and provide tailored, consistent experiences. Bernstein’s announcement named Roblox, Discord, Fortnite and Highrise among the platforms associated with the team’s work. The report quotes cofounder Sebastian Park describing a library of more than 100 games; Park’s separate statement also refers to 100-plus experiences. GamesBeat and Park’s statement reproduced in Bernstein’s profile provide those descriptions.
Scale figures are historical, not current metrics
GamesBeat’s 2025 acquisition story gave several figures to describe the businesses’ prior reach. They should be read in that context, rather than as current audience or revenue numbers:

- Infinite Canvas: its experiences reached 19 million monthly active users at peak, according to GamesBeat. This is a peak figure, not a current monthly audience.
- Highrise: GamesBeat reported more than 40 million players and more than $250 million in revenue as of June 2024. These are historical figures cited in the acquisition story.
- Infinite Canvas library: cofounder Sebastian Park described a collection of more than 100 games or experiences in GamesBeat’s report; the figure is the team’s reported library size, not a count of Highrise releases.
GamesBeat’s report attributes the figures and their context.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the deal does—and does not—establish
Bernstein praised Infinite Canvas’s understanding of younger gamers and UGC, calling it an important addition to Pocket Worlds. That is the CEO’s assessment, not an independent measurement of the team’s capabilities. The companies’ stated plan suggests an emphasis on creator-led content and AI-supported interactions in Highrise, but the available announcements do not document specific post-acquisition releases or measurable results.
