Pokémon Auto Chess is a fan-made browser game, not an official Pokémon release. Its own website describes it as a non-profit, open-source auto-battler and presents the game as playable in a browser. That means “you probably can’t play it” is too strong: the project advertises browser access, though that alone does not confirm current uptime or access in every region.

What is Pokémon Auto Chess?

Pokémon Auto Chess is the name used by a fan project that combines Pokémon with the auto-battler genre. The project’s homepage says players select Pokémon, build synergies, unlock items and battle opponents. It describes itself as “Non profit, open source” and states that rights belong to The Pokémon Company. Those are the project’s own descriptions, not evidence of a license or official endorsement. Can you play Pokémon Auto Chess?

The project’s game page presents it as a browser game, so you can check there for access. The page’s availability claim is not independent confirmation that the game is reliably online at any particular moment. The available information also does not establish regional restrictions, so it would be inaccurate to say that players in the United States, Europe or elsewhere cannot play it.

If the page does not load or the game is unavailable when you visit, that does not by itself establish a permanent shutdown or a regional block. The project’s pages do not establish consistent server uptime.

Is Pokémon Auto Chess an official Pokémon game?

No official release or endorsement is established by the sources available here. The project itself calls the game a fan project, and its terms say Pokémon rights belong to The Pokémon Company. For official news, Pokémon Support says: “All information regarding upcoming Pokémon titles will be posted at pokemon.com as soon as it is made public.” Pokémon Support: upcoming games

Don’t confuse it with Pokémon Champions

Pokémon Champions is a separate official game focused on Pokémon battles, not the fan-made auto-chess project. The Pokémon Company said on August 21, 2026, that Champions launched in April 2026 as “a standalone game dedicated entirely to Pokémon battles.” The Pokémon Company: Pokémon Champions
