Pokémon China has announced two different products tied to the Pokémon TCG’s 30th anniversary: a randomized First Partner card set and a larger “Future” memorabilia box featuring two Pikachu ex cards. They are separate releases with different contents and prices; neither should be mistaken for the English-language 30th Celebration expansion.
What did Pokémon China reveal?
The first announcement, published February 9, 2026, was the First Partner Special Illustration Foil Card Set Vol. 1. Pokémon China later announced the 30th Celebration Future Memorial Box on June 6. The first is a small randomized card product centered on starter Pokémon; the second is an accessory bundle with two Pikachu ex cards.
| Product | China announced release | Suggested retail price | Cards and contents |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Partner Special Illustration Foil Card Set Vol. 1 | March 20, 2026 | 39 yuan | One randomly selected card from nine designs, one acrylic magnetic display frame, and one five-card booster pack |
| 30th Celebration Future Memorial Box | September 16, 2026 | 1,099 yuan | Two Pikachu ex FUR-style cards, 64 sleeves, deck box, display frame, rubber playmat and case, dice, two coins, damage-counter storage, and poison and burn markers |
These are China suggested retail prices announced by Pokémon China, not confirmed prices or availability in other markets.
What is in the First Partner set?
Vol. 1 has nine possible special illustration foil card designs representing first partners from Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola. Pokémon China says the three cards from each region can be arranged together to create a panoramic image. Each set contains just one randomly selected card, so the announcement does not promise a particular Pokémon or a complete regional trio in a single box.

What makes the Future Memorial Box different?
The Future box is a larger play-and-display bundle rather than another randomized First Partner set. Its two Pikachu ex cards use the FUR-style treatment. The included accessories are 64 art sleeves, a deck box, a special card display frame, a rubber playmat and its case, dice, two coins, damage-counter storage, and poison and burn markers.

How do these products relate to the English 30th Celebration expansion?
The English-language 30th Celebration is related anniversary news, but it is a separate product line from the China-specific First Partner set and Future Memorial Box. Pokémon’s US product-showcase result describes illustration rare cards in the expansion, while a separate official US result identifies two day-and-night-styled Pikachu ex special illustration rare cards and gives September 16, 2026 as the worldwide release date. Those announcements do not establish that every product in the China assortment will be sold in every market.

Does “worldwide release” mean the same products arrive everywhere?
Pokémon China’s February notice said anniversary merchandise was intended for simultaneous worldwide release during 2026, subject to exclusions in some regions and differences caused by local time zones and logistics. The notice also cautioned that this did not mean all future Pokémon products would launch globally at once. It is therefore not confirmation that either China product, with the same contents and pricing, is available in every country.
The announced yuan prices and release dates describe the China products. The official US expansion information provides context for the broader anniversary, not a substitute for a local retailer’s listing or regional product announcement.

What the announcements do—and do not—tell collectors
The official product pages establish product contents, announced release dates, suggested retail prices, and the stated standard-format legality of the First Partner special illustration foil cards. They do not establish pull rates, scarcity, resale value, or investment performance. The randomized card in Vol. 1 also means its listed contents should not be read as a guarantee of any specific design.
