Pokémon GO’s Chansey Community Day took place on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. It is over, but this guide records the event’s bonuses, evolution deadlines, Happiny Egg feature and post-event raids for reference.
When was Chansey Community Day?
The event ran Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Community Day is a limited-time Pokémon GO event built around a featured Pokémon appearing more frequently; Niantic’s Community Day help page explains the general format.
Chansey appeared more often in the wild during the main event. The event announcement was published January 9, 2024, and its times and bonuses below refer to that historical event, not a currently scheduled Community Day. Read Niantic’s February 2024 Chansey Community Day announcement.
What move did Blissey get, and when did you need to evolve?
Evolving Chansey during the event or within five hours after it ended produced a Blissey that knew the Charged Attack Wild Charge. Since the event ended at 5:00 p.m. local time, that evolution window closed at 10:00 p.m.

The announcement also included a separate featured evolution: evolving Alolan Sandshrew during the event or within two hours after it ended produced an Alolan Sandslash with Shadow Claw. That deadline was 7:00 p.m. local time. The two evolution windows were different; the five-hour Chansey deadline did not apply to Alolan Sandshrew.
What were the Chansey Community Day bonuses?
Most listed bonuses applied during the main 2:00–5:00 p.m. local event window. Lure Modules, regular Incense and the trade bonuses had an extended window through 10:00 p.m.

The timing and qualifications in the table come from Niantic’s event announcement.
How did the Happiny Eggs work?
Happiny appeared much more frequently in 2 km Eggs obtained during the Community Day event. Those Eggs also had an increased chance of hatching Shiny Happiny. Niantic said Happiny had the same Shiny chance as Chansey appearing during the main event, but did not publish a numeric probability. The announcement therefore supports a comparison between those event encounters, not a precise Shiny-rate estimate.
What happened in the after-event Chansey raids?
Special four-star Chansey raids ran from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time on February 4, 2024. They required a Raid Pass or Premium Battle Pass; Remote Raid Passes could not be used.
After a successful raid, more Chansey appeared around that Gym for 30 minutes. Those local spawns had the same Shiny chance as Chansey spawns during the main event. The raid and spawn details are from Niantic’s official announcement.

- For Candy and Candy XL: Catch Pokémon during the 2:00–5:00 p.m. window; the Candy XL chance bonus applied to Trainers level 31 and above.
- For Egg hatching: Place the Eggs you wanted to hatch with the quarter-distance bonus into Incubators during the main event.
- For Wild Charge Blissey: Evolve Chansey by 10:00 p.m. local time. For Alolan Sandslash with Shadow Claw, evolve Alolan Sandshrew by 7:00 p.m.
- For post-event raids: Be able to reach the Gym in person, since Remote Raid Passes were excluded. A successful raid started the 30-minute Chansey spawn period around that Gym.
For outdoor play, Niantic’s event announcement included this safety notice: “Please be aware of your surroundings and follow guidelines from local health authorities when playing Pokémon GO.” —The Pokémon GO team.
