Dual Destiny was a 10-stage, season-exclusive Special Research quest in Pokémon GO. Its claim window ended on March 4, 2025, at 9:59 a.m. local time. Below are all task objectives and rewards, stage by stage. The available sources do not establish whether accounts that claimed the research before the deadline can still complete it.
Dual Destiny quest steps and rewards
Each task reward is shown beside its objective; stage-completion rewards are listed separately. New stages unlocked over the season.
Stage 1/10
- Catch 25 Pokémon — 25 Poké Balls
- Spin 10 PokéStops or Gyms — 10 Pinap Berries
- Explore 3 km — Snorlax encounter
Stage rewards: 2,500 XP and 2,500 Stardust.
Stage 2/10
- Catch 50 Pokémon — 1 Lure Module
- Collect 500 Max Particles — 2,500 Stardust
- Win a Max Battle — 1 Rare Candy
Stage rewards: 2,500 XP and 2,500 Stardust.
Stage 3/10
- Catch 25 Pokémon — 25 Great Balls
- Hatch 3 Eggs — 2,500 Stardust
- Complete 3 Field Research tasks — 1 Silver Pinap Berry
Stage rewards: Delibird encounter, 2,500 XP, and 2,500 Stardust.
Stage 4/10
- Catch 50 Pokémon — 2,500 XP
- Earn 25,000 XP — 2,500 Stardust
- Earn 10,000 Stardust — Sandygast encounter
Stage rewards: 1 Star Piece, 2,500 XP, and 2,500 Stardust.

Claim deadline and current availability
Players could claim Dual Destiny Special Research from December 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. through March 4, 2025, at 9:59 a.m. local time, according to the official Pokémon GO Dual Destiny season announcement. That claim window has passed. The cited sources do not confirm whether research claimed before the deadline remains completable, so check the Special Research tab in your account for its current status.

Serebii’s task-specific listing and Pokémon GO Hub agree that stage 3 requires completing 3 Field Research tasks. Leek Duck’s season page lists 10 for that objective and also differs on some item amounts in stages 5 and 6. The tasks and rewards above follow the task-specific Serebii Dual Destiny listing, cross-checked with Pokémon GO Hub’s task and reward guide. If an account’s in-game display differs, use that display as the authority for that account.
