Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale ran August 23–24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time each day. Its featured six-star Gigantamax battles rotated hourly through 5:00 p.m.; the official schedule did not name a featured Pokémon for the final hour. The event has ended, so its passes and bonuses are no longer available.
Max Finale dates, times, and access
The worldwide event was unticketed and took place August 23–24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time each day. Players joined through the free GO Pass: Max Finale, which was automatically granted. Trainers level 13 and above could participate in its weeklong raids, Max Battles, and related activities. The pass ran from August 18 at 10:00 a.m. through August 24 at 9:00 p.m. local time. An optional paid Deluxe upgrade offered additional rewards and faster progression. Pass rewards had to be claimed by August 26 at 9:00 p.m. local time; neither pass is a current offer.

These are the featured six-star Gigantamax Pokémon by hourly slot. All times are local time, and the event page does not specify a featured Pokémon from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The hourly list describes featured appearances, not the only Pokémon that could be found. The official page said all previously featured Gigantamax Pokémon could appear at Power Spots, with the listed Pokémon scheduled more frequently. Previously featured Dynamax Pokémon could also appear, but less often. The page noted shiny availability for some entries; that does not mean a shiny encounter was guaranteed.

GO Pass: Max Finale offered one catchable Eternatus during the event. The official event page described it as a Poison- and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon and noted that powering it up requires substantially more Candy and Candy XL than other Pokémon.
Eternamax Eternatus appeared as a Max Battle boss and took over most Power Spots during Max Finale, but it could not be caught after a victory. Winning awarded Eternatus Candy and Candy XL to power up the catchable Eternatus.
Starting with Max Finale, up to 100 Trainers could join the same Gigantamax or Eternamax battle, organized into groups of four or fewer. Pokémon GO said this rule applied worldwide and continued after the event. See the official Gigantamax battle update for the change.
Other raids, bonuses, and research
Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta returned in raids to help Trainers through Max Battles. Special Raid Hours were scheduled for August 21 for Zacian and August 22 for Zamazenta, each from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. local time.
- Power Spots were more active and refreshed more frequently.
- The Max Particle collection limit increased.
- Catching Pokémon awarded 2× Candy.
- The Remote Raid Pass limit rose to 30 from August 18–22, 2025.
- Timed Research focused on powering up Pokémon and defeating Eternamax Eternatus, with Candy XL, Max Particles, and other rewards.
These bonuses and activities were tied to the 2025 event period; they are not current event benefits.
