Pokémon GO’s Flabébé Community Day took place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The event is over, including its temporary chance to evolve Floette into a Florges that knows Chilling Water. This retrospective guide covers the event schedule, region-specific flower colors, research, bonuses and evolution deadline.
When was Flabébé Community Day?
The event ran on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Niantic describes Community Day as a limited period when a featured Pokémon appears more often than other Pokémon in each time zone; see its Community Day explainer. Some Flabébé event bonuses continued until 10:00 p.m. local time.

Niantic’s official September 2025 Flabébé Community Day announcement also said to “Please be aware of your surroundings when playing Pokémon GO.”
What Flabébé colors appeared in each region?
Red, Blue and Yellow Flower Flabébé had region-specific availability during the event. White and Orange Flower Flabébé could appear in any region.

Could you catch a Shiny or Special Background Flabébé?
Shiny Flabébé was available as an encounter possibility during the event. The official announcement does not establish a specific encounter rate or shiny odds, so there is no supported percentage to quote.
Logging in during Community Day also triggered a week-long Timed Research opportunity to encounter a Flabébé with a Special Background. Completing the Timed Research tasks increased the chance of a Shiny encounter. That research period has expired.

How did you get Chilling Water on Florges?
During the event’s move window, evolving Floette into Florges produced a Florges that knew the Charged Attack Chilling Water. The deadline was September 21, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time. To evolve Floette during that temporary window, it had to earn seven hearts while assigned as your buddy. Both the deadline and the temporary requirement have passed; the event announcement does not establish a current way to obtain the move.

The main Community Day window was 2:00–5:00 p.m. local time on September 14, 2025. The official announcement listed these bonuses:

Some bonuses lasted until 10:00 p.m. local time, according to Niantic’s announcement. The published event details do not identify each extended bonus in the information summarized here.
Was Special Research free?
The exclusive Special Research ticket cost US$1.99 or the local equivalent at the time. It was an optional in-game purchase, not a current offer. Free Field Research and the login-triggered Timed Research were also listed for the event.

Could you still attend or prepare for this Community Day?
No: the September 2025 event, its Timed Research and the Chilling Water evolution window have all ended. As of Pokémon GO’s October 2026 Community Day announcement, the featured Pokémon was Zorua, not Flabébé; that does not establish whether Flabébé might return in a later event.
For future Community Days, Niantic recommends a strong internet connection and automatic device time-zone detection. Its Community Day guidance warns that inaccurate or fluctuating clock or GPS signals may cause problems. A portable phone power bank may be useful for a multi-hour mobile event, but it is optional—not an official requirement.
