Pokémon GO’s GO All Out event ran from September 3 at 10:00 a.m. through September 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. local time. It introduced Galar Pokémon, offered double catch and evolution XP, and overlapped with Falinks Raid Day on September 8. The event and its bonuses have ended; the details below are an archive of that 2024 event, not a current rotation.
When did GO All Out run?
Niantic scheduled GO All Out for Tuesday, September 3 through Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Both the 10:00 a.m. start and end times were local time. Niantic’s announcement is the official reference for the event dates and core details.

Which Pokémon debuted, and where could players encounter them?
New Galar Pokémon
The event marked the Pokémon GO debuts of the three Galar starter families—Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble—and their evolutions: Thwackey and Rillaboom; Raboot and Cinderace; and Drizzile and Inteleon. Dreepy, Drakloak, and Dragapult also debuted. Niantic said trainers in the United Kingdom could encounter Stonjourner; this was a regional availability detail, not a worldwide event spawn.
For each of those starter and Dreepy evolution lines, the announced Candy costs were 25 Candy for the first evolution and 100 Candy for the next stage.

Wild encounters, eggs, and shiny availability
Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Skwovet, and Wooloo appeared more frequently in the wild, while Dreepy could appear rarely. Niantic listed the three starters in 5 km Eggs and Dreepy in 10 km Eggs, alongside other Pokémon whose contents were not specified in the announcement. These were event-era egg pools, not a statement about current eggs. The announcement also said Shiny Skwovet and Shiny Wooloo could be encountered for the first time in Pokémon GO. A shiny was possible, not guaranteed; no encounter odds were provided.
Other encounter routes
Event Field Research could reward encounters with Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Skwovet, and Wooloo. Galar-themed Collection Challenges offered Stardust, XP, and additional Wooloo encounters. Select PokéStops also hosted Showcases for Galarian first-partner Pokémon. The event’s raid and encounter details were further documented in Nintendo Wire’s September 2024 guide; those time-limited pools should be read as historical rather than current lineups.

What bonuses and research were available?
Event bonuses
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
- 2× XP for evolving Pokémon.
Both bonuses applied during GO All Out and are no longer active as event bonuses.
Max Out Special Research
The season-long Max Out Special Research let players choose Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble as a partner. The choice affected the seasonal Postcard Book background. The free research had to be claimed between September 3 and December 3, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time; that claim window has closed. The selected path determined the partner and associated Candy and encounter rewards, but the available event information does not establish one path as objectively better than the others.

Field Research and Collection Challenges
Alongside the partner-choice Special Research, event Field Research supplied opportunities to encounter the five Pokémon listed above, while Collection Challenges rewarded Stardust, XP, and Wooloo encounters. These were separate activities, and their availability was tied to the event.
How did Falinks Raid Day overlap?
Falinks Raid Day took place on September 8, 2024, during GO All Out. Nintendo Wire reported increased Falinks raids and additional raid bonuses for that day. This overlap is described in the secondary guide, rather than in Niantic’s core GO All Out announcement. It is a past event detail, not an indication of a current Falinks raid schedule.

What was the practical takeaway for players at the time?
During the event, players could focus on wild starter encounters and the debut Pokémon, hatch the announced event eggs, or use Field Research and Collection Challenges for additional encounters and rewards. UK players had the separate regional opportunity to encounter Stonjourner. For the longer seasonal research, the most consequential deadline was claiming the free branching Special Research by December 3, 2024 at 9:59 a.m. local time. These routes offered opportunities, not guaranteed rare or shiny encounters.
