The 2025 weekend ran October 25–26; as of October 8, 2026, the current season page lists an October 6–13 league rotation but does not announce a 2026 GO Battle Weekend. Check the latest official event notice before planning around a date or bonus.
What is GO Battle Weekend?
GO Battle Weekend is a named, limited-time event focused on GO Battle League. It can add event-specific bonuses, a higher daily battle allowance, Timed Research, and reward changes. The official announcement for GO Battle Weekend: Tales of Transformation scheduled that edition for Saturday, October 25 through Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time. Those are historical dates, not a standing annual schedule.
Is there a GO Battle Weekend announced for 2026?
As of October 8, 2026, the official Twilight Trails season update lists Great League: Mega Edition, Ultra League: Mega Edition, and Master League: Mega Edition from October 6 through October 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7). It also marks that rotation for four-times Stardust from win rewards, excluding end-of-set rewards. The update does not announce a separate GO Battle Weekend, so the rotation and its bonus should not be treated as one.
Twilight Trails also describes GO Battle Thursday: a local-time feature running 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., with up to 10 sets (50 battles) and up to four-times Stardust from win rewards. That is distinct from a Battle Weekend announcement.

The Forever Forward season update provides additional seasonal context: it describes Timed Research tracking victories, with rewards that can include Stardust, Rare Candy XL, and Elite Fast and Charged TMs. These are seasonal research rewards, not benefits to assume for every Battle Weekend.

How to prepare for a newly announced weekend
- Confirm the event dates and time zone. Use the official announcement or in-game notice, and check whether the start and end are given in local time or a fixed time zone.
- Check the event’s leagues and cups. A season’s ordinary league rotation may differ from the event schedule. Read the eligible leagues and any special cup rules before choosing a team.
- Read each bonus precisely. If Stardust is multiplied for wins, check whether the wording excludes end-of-set rewards; those are a separate reward category.
- Verify the daily allowance and research deadline. Look for the set and battle cap, whether Timed Research is available, and when its tasks expire.
- Choose a league based on its actual rules and your teams. Compare CP limits and permitted Pokémon against the teams you can field, then weigh any rewards or bonuses explicitly attached to that option. A best team cannot be identified without the specific event rules and current battle-meta information.
- Track event-only rewards from the announcement. Encounters, avatar items, and research rewards can change between editions; do not assume a past reward will return.
