How did Applin evolve into Dipplin and Hydrapple?
Dipplin and Hydrapple debuted in Pokémon GO during the festival. The event announcement listed these evolution requirements:
- Applin to Dipplin: 200 Applin Candy and 20 Syrupy Apples.
- Dipplin to Hydrapple: 400 Applin Candy and seven Dragon-type Pokémon caught while Dipplin is your buddy.

How did apples work during the event?
Players could discover apples beginning with the Harvest Festival. PokéStops with an active Mossy Lure Module had an increased chance to produce them. Tapping an apple could award a Sweet Apple, Tart Apple, Syrupy Apple, or a Pokémon encounter; Applin was a possible encounter if lucky.
What were the event bonuses and wild encounters?
- Catch Pokémon with Pinap Berries or Silver Pinap Berries for 2× Candy.
- Encounter Shiny Pumpkaboo and Shiny Smoliv with an increased chance.
- Find apples at PokéStops with active Mossy Lure Modules more often.
Wild event-themed encounters included Miltank, Combee, Smoliv, and other Pokémon; Applin might also appear. The announcement marked Miltank, Combee, and Smoliv as capable of appearing shiny if lucky. It did not publish exact shiny odds or a complete encounter list.

Free event research and challenges
Event-themed Field Research could reward encounters with Pumpkaboo, Applin, and Smoliv. Catch- and evolution-focused Collection Challenges offered rewards including a Mossy Lure Module, Stardust, Syrupy Apples, and Applin encounters. The announcement did not give the full text of each Field Research task.
Optional paid Timed Research
The event-exclusive ticket cost US$4.99 in the United States, or the equivalent local pricing tier. Listed rewards included 30 Silver Pinap Berries, three Mossy Lure Modules, Applin encounters, and other rewards. Ticket holders also received double Mossy Lure Module duration and an increased chance of getting berries from PokéStops, including Silver Pinap and Golden Razz Berries if lucky.

Ticket tasks had to be completed and rewards claimed by October 16, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The announcement said purchases were non-refundable subject to applicable law and the Terms of Service, and tickets could not be purchased with PokéCoins. Both the ticket and its deadline have passed.
