The five-star lineup moved from Giratina (Altered Forme) to Virizion, then Terrakion, and finally Reshiram. Lower-tier raids also shifted with the month’s Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh Throwback Challenge weeks.
Five-star raid boss schedule
The five-star handoffs occurred at 20:00 UTC. Raid Hour events, by contrast, were scheduled for 18:00 local time.

Niantic announced Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem for five-star raids on May 19, with Reshiram arriving first on May 26. The announcement is in Niantic’s official Pokémon GO news archive; the dated transitions and Raid Hour schedule are recorded by Serebii’s raid-events archive.
Lower-tier raids followed the Throwback Challenge weeks
Lower-tier pools were themed around the four Throwback Challenge periods: Kanto beginning May 1, Johto May 8, Hoenn May 15, and Sinnoh May 22. A community-maintained historical raid-boss list records the themed pools by raid tier. Treat it as a compiled historical roster: it does not independently establish that every listed Pokémon appeared continuously at every location for the full period.

Examples of Tier 1 bosses
- Kanto: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Meowth, Koffing, and Magikarp.
- Johto: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Mareep, Timburr, and Klink.
- Hoenn: Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, and Swablu.
- Sinnoh: Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Drifloon, Timburr, and Klink.
Examples of Tier 3 bosses
- Johto-themed pool: Alolan Raichu, Espeon, Umbreon, Shuckle, Skarmory, and Donphan.
- Sinnoh-themed pool: Roserade, Bastiodon, Floatzel, Skuntank, and Alolan Raichu.
These are examples, not a complete tier-by-tier list. Check the dated historical roster for the full entries, keeping each Pokémon’s raid tier and event period attached; raid tiers were later changed in August 2020, so present-day tier conventions should not be applied to this month.
