Pokémon GO’s Stadium Sights event ran worldwide from June 1 to June 4, 2024, and is over. It brought Shiny Emolga’s global debut, boosted wild encounters, a special 7 km Egg pool, hatching bonuses and paid Timed Research. Here’s what was available and how the event worked.
When was Pokémon GO Stadium Sights?
Stadium Sights ran from Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. through Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The event extended Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Sendai content to players worldwide. It is no longer active; check the Pokémon GO event calendar for current and upcoming events.
What Pokémon appeared during Stadium Sights?
Wild encounters
These Pokémon appeared more frequently in the wild:
- Pidgey
- Zubat
- Doduo
- Gligar
- Hitmontop
- Meditite
- Staravia
- Emolga
- Mienfoo
- Noibat
- Cutiefly
Shiny Emolga became available worldwide for the first time during the event. The official announcement said Trainers could encounter one if lucky but did not publish a numerical Shiny rate.

Field Research encounters
Certain Field Research tasks awarded encounters with Pidgey, Zubat, Doduo or Emolga. Emolga could also be Shiny from these encounters.
What hatched from 7 km Eggs, and what were the bonuses?
Event 7 km Eggs could hatch Galarian Farfetch’d, Riolu or Emolga. Hatching Pokémon also earned 1.5× Candy and 1.5× Stardust during Stadium Sights.

The right focus depended on your goal: Emolga or Riolu Candy meant hatching the event Eggs, while the Stardust bonus rewarded hatching more generally. The same Egg pool offered a chance at all three species, rather than a separate pool for each resource goal.
Was the Stadium Sights Timed Research worth it?
The paid Timed Research cost US$1.99 or the equivalent local pricing tier, according to the official Pokémon GO announcement. Its exploration and Egg-hatching tasks offered Emolga encounters, one Super Incubator and 20 Emolga Candy.

It was most relevant to players who wanted additional Emolga encounters or Candy and expected to complete the exploration and hatching tasks. Players focused on free wild encounters, Field Research or the general hatching bonuses could participate without buying the ticket. Tasks had to be completed and rewards claimed by June 4, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time; the ticket and its rewards are no longer available through this event.
