When did Stunning Styles run?
The event ran from Thursday, April 3, at 10:00 a.m. through Monday, April 7, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. in each player’s local time. Its event bonuses, featured spawns, raids, and timed ticket offers are no longer active.

Pokémon GO’s official Stunning Styles announcement described the event as an opportunity to discover Pokémon in various forms.
What were the event bonuses?
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon. The Pokémon GO team announced this catch bonus for the event.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny West Sea Shellos and Shiny East Sea Shellos in their respective regions. Niantic did not publish a numerical shiny rate.
Which Pokémon were featured?
Paldean Tauros debut and regional breeds
Paldean Tauros made its Pokémon GO debut during Stunning Styles. The three breeds were distributed by region: Combat Breed in the Iberian Peninsula, Blaze Breed in the Eastern Hemisphere, and Aqua Breed in the Western Hemisphere.

Wild encounters
Castform and its Sunny, Rainy, and Snowy forms appeared more frequently, with the forms tied to their respective weather conditions. Plant, Sandy, and Trash Cloak Burmy also appeared more frequently in the wild.

What research was available?
Might and Mastery Special Research
The seasonal Might and Mastery Special Research installment became available at the event’s start. Tasks could award Golden Razz Berries, Kubfu Candy, event-themed encounters, and other rewards. It could be claimed at no cost from March 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. until June 3, 2025, at 9:59 a.m. local time.
A Striking Shadow Special Research
A Striking Shadow became available free on April 3, 2025. Completing it awarded a Marshadow encounter. Trainers who had already accessed the Pokémon GO Fest 2024-exclusive Special Research instead received Marshadow Candy. Niantic said A Striking Shadow would not expire, unlike the event’s Timed Research.

Free event Timed Research
Free Timed Research offered 10 Kubfu Candy, encounters including Clamperl, Espurr, and Morpeko, and an additional Candy for successful catches after completing the research. Trainers level 31 and up had an increased chance to receive Candy XL for catches after completing it. Tasks and rewards had to be completed and claimed by April 7, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time; that deadline has passed.
