Timeless Travels was Pokémon GO’s season-long Special Research story about exploring the Hisui region with Professor Willow. It ran from December 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to March 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time, so it is no longer available as current research. The guide below lists all 14 stages and distinguishes rewards earned for individual tasks from each stage’s completion rewards.
What was Timeless Travels Special Research?
Niantic framed the story as a season-long expedition with Professor Willow to uncover the legends of Hisui. Its official announcement described it as: “Travel on a Season-long research expedition with Professor Willow, and uncover the legends of the Hisui region.” The season ran December 1, 2023, through March 1, 2024, with both start and end times at 10:00 a.m. local time. The research unfolded over the season rather than as a one-day event. Pokémon GO Hub’s guide, published and last updated January 27, 2024, records 14 stages and the detailed task and reward list below. The official season announcements establish the dates and story framing; the stage-by-stage rewards are from the secondary guide.
Timeless Travels tasks and rewards by stage
In each table cell, task rewards are listed immediately after the task. The separate completion column gives the bundle for finishing that stage.

How the research progressed
The stages shift from general catching and daily habits to walking, egg hatching, PokéStop visits, Field Research, and then a sequence of Team GO Rocket battles. Stage 2 is the clearest multi-day checkpoint: its three tasks each require activity on seven different days. The later Rocket stages build on one another, moving from Grunts to the three leaders and then the Boss.
