Was Yamper’s Paw Prints a 2× Stardust event?
Yes. During the event, catching Pokémon earned 2× Stardust. The event also increased the chance of encountering Shiny Snubbull, Shiny Poochyena, and Shiny Furfrou. These bonuses ended with the event.
How did players get Yamper in Pokémon GO?
Yamper was described as a rare wild spawn, so it was not among the most common featured encounters. Players could also look for it through event research: the daily free Timed Research included a Yamper encounter, and the Make an Excellent Throw Field Research task could reward one. The historical paid Premium Timed Research also listed a Yamper encounter.

Historical Premium Timed Research
The event’s optional Premium Timed Research was a limited offer listed at US$0.99 or the equivalent local pricing tier. It had two pages, with tasks including using Berries, catching Pokémon, spinning five PokéStops or Gyms, powering up Pokémon five times, making five Nice Throws, and evolving a Pokémon. Each page listed a Yamper encounter, two Incense, and 3,000 Stardust as rewards. The ticket was tied to the 2025 event and is not a current purchase opportunity.
